I think Ryan Jackson has done enough the last two weeks to win the Rising Star nomination for round 18.

20 odd possessions last week

This week's stats
12 kicks
7 handballs
2 marks
4 tackles
10 contested possessions.

Go Jacko!

Definitely. Not only has he gotten his hands to the ball, but he has stepped against Harvey and Lockyer in consecutive weeks and held his own. The kid deserves it.

He's been good hasn't he. Faded out a bit later in the game, but did some good things.

Some of his kicks today showed great vision and poise. While his tackling in the first quarter showed that he has guts under a skinny, athletic type of a frame.

Another highlight for Carlton this week!

In terms of the Rising Star award this link is pretty helpful, according to an assessment based purely on stats he might not get it this week but would be a very, very exciting prospect for next season if all goes to plan.

I like the Wacko but 4 quarters must be played. Jamo was just as good.

Jacko will be a champion!!!

Jacko has the biggest tank in the whole team, won the time trail at the start of the year, should be promoted onto the senior list as soon as possible great young prospect for the blues!

Why wasn't he top 20 in the draft. Northern Knights only lifted at the end of his last year when he stepped up. This guy is gold and I think a lot of selectors got it wrong.

79 Vintage didnt get Jacko wrong.
He claimed him early as a beauty... before the draft.

Connors was impressive, and has had more words said and printed about him than Jacko, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get in ahead. It's not right, but it's the way they do things.

hopefully the consistency criteria will work in our favour for once, but then again these things tend to change when it comes to us...

Clearly should go to Everitt from the dogs this week, the kid is a gun and kudos to Scott Clayton for taking early than most would have. Watched him Friday nite, unbelievable composure, kicked a crucial goal and after 4 quality weeks clearly deserves the nod. Would hope Jacko will feature before rnd 22 tho

Lockyer was BOG by a long way.
Not this week for Jacko.

I might get some $$ on Jacko for next year's award. He has to be an early favourite.

Everitt for mine this week.
Has been a big help in my DT over the past 3 weeks.

I'd like to see Jackson get it but I think Connors will....plenty of the footy plus a highlight reel hangar of a mark is going to be hard to beat.
He impressed me vs the Bullants and seems to have recovered some form after fading away at U18 level and being labelled with a poor attitude.
Everitt goes ok but I wouldnt be calling him a gun yet......Ryan Jackson is very consistent, uses the footy well and has been a handy player.
