Guys i have heard all sorts of talk about us not winning and we would be stupid to win another game. You know what @#$%&! that... we are playing Collingwood and one of our best players ( if not the best ) in my lifetime just retired and will be sent off at the G on Saturday.

Look this Cruzer bloke may be good thats great, but we all know that you drafting players is a bit of luck. I refer to Livingston pick 4, Vance pick 6. ??... But honestly i think we owe it to Kouta to put in an inspired performance and get up to honour the great man who's body is knackered for what he did for our club.

What would be better than putting a major dent in Collingwoods finals hopes and sending off our champion with a big win against a team we hate. I really hope Kouta speaks to the boys before the game and gives them an almighty rev up! This bloke is Navy Blue all the way and a champion.

PLEASE PLEASE WIN!!!!!!

Top post H43. There is nothing I like better than beating the pies and it would be a fitting way to farewell Kouta.

If Kouta was actually playing you might have a point, he will however be sitting in the stands.

Agree that the great man didn't deserve what has transpired in the last 5 years - who did?

As for pick 1 giving us Livingston, key positions don't grow on trees and rucks are rarer again. There's little to be gained aside from warm and fuzzy feelings with a win against Collingwood this weekend. I personally don't like the situation but I believe we'd be fools to let the opportunity go. If this kid turns into a 10 year ruck option it's been well worth it. Time will tell obviously.

I'm going on the weekend to wave goodbye to one of our greats and watch the kids play. If we get close then great.

I'm hoping for an exciting performance from our youngsters similar to Ryan Jackson at the weekend. If I get that I'll be content as distinct to happy.

Here, Here!

I have always said that a winning culture gains more benefit to the team than a no1 pick into a team with a losing culture.

ahh the moral high ground then.

If you really want to get your jollies - buy this game on "Name a Game"

I mean we can all go to bed warm and fuzzy at night from the memories of this game.

Set us up for the next 10 years that game did.

What would Kouta enjoy more? A meaningless win or potentially getting a ruckman that dominates for 10 years and gets Carlton closer to their 17th.

Ruckman are important. Just look at Paul Roos and Peter Everitt. Dean Cox just about won West Coast the flag on his own last year.

Yeah - we could have had pick 8 instead of pick 9 if we lost that game!

You’ve changed my mind.
A gutsy meaningless win is greater then securing a ruckman who can potentially provide 10 years of great service.

Actually it wouldn't have made any difference - win, lose or draw we still would have had pick 9.

will get ready numpties

cant help but feel we are going to win this weekend and end the PP debate.

a win against Essendon* is on the cards as well, and we will have to play with 12 men against Melbourne to lose.

look at whats at stack for the filth.

Collingwood - playing for finals, an upset loss to Carlton and they will start to eat their own

Essendon*, - again, playing for finals, an upset loss to Carlton will throw a massive spanner in the works.

get on the mutli bet for a collingwood, Essendon* & melbourne loss.

its on the cards
