Say we get to R22 and we're still stuck on 4 wins, which is probably about 90% likely to be the case.

What will the club do in R22? Will they go into UBER-TANK mode?

Remember, we are playing Melbourne, who have changed coaches but are still playing shiezenhausen (sp).

Will we largely keep the same side that played last weekend, ie: the Saddingtons and Koutoufides' and Lappins' will be in the side?

Or will we wrap Fev up in cotton wool, give Murphy a rest, and tell Waite, Houlihan and Scotland to take some early leave?

There's other questions too. What if Fev is on the verge of winning the Coleman? Does the club rest him?

And what about Kouta and Lappin? If it is their last game for the Navy Blue, will the club rest them??

Well I hope we beat the pies this weekend so we can finally say goodbye to tanking threads.

Golden handshake games for anyone who won't be there next year, like Teague, McLaren, Ackland, Saddington and Bannister.

Final runs for Lappin and Kouta.

Anyone who hasn't got a game gets a run... Whether they deserve it or not.

Anyone with a niggle gets a rest...

And finally...

We pick a team, then play everyone in the opposite position.

And kick it the wrong way.

Marketing Opportunity - Father Son Game!! We get the fathers of our current players to take their son's place in the team and the current day players can be runners etc.

Just by giving Tanking a fancy name doesn't mean you had to start a new thread.

Except the way we've been playing this year, that could mean an improvement on-field. Except for Vin. He'd be a break-even.

I reckon we'll beat the bummers.

One of our biggest worries is if Goldspink umpires one of our games. I wouldn't put it past him to give a few dodgy free kicks to the Blues if it means helping us lose a priority pick.

Just get Den Den back to give the guys a pep talk.

I reckon by Round 22 - the "UBERTANK" game... we will see be on 4 wins and only one loss away from 'my precious' Priority Pick.

Then Fev will bag 8 for the Coleman and the boys will win the match for Kouta.

:P

Hahahahaha

BTW Mrs Caz, this isn't JUST ANOTHER tanking thread, it's seriously questioning what we think the club will do, because as you can see my original post there will be quite a few dilemms, not just forfeiting the 4 pts.

Has anyone considered what might happen if we offer the coaches job to Voss and Ratten choses to accept the job at Melbourne -

Would make round 22 very very interesting indeed

Pagan should be invited back to coach the last game as a final send off for sure as KH said. The only worrying thing is last time we beat Melb in inside 50's, centre breaks and shots at goal. Without a ruckman.... oh wait Ackland isnt really one. Hopefully a few more inclusions for the dees will help, unless then want to out tank us.

Maybe we could coax Mick Martyn out of retirement.

The R22 game will be the one that breaks the Priority Pick selection ever happening again BEFORE the main draft starts. I reckon you can argue that keeping the PP in between the 1st and 2nd rounds is okay, but equally, it's probably not really that much of a bonus. Kind of a happy medium I suppose.

If we do beat Melbourne, I hope like hell we've won a game before that so the PP is already gone.

Had Fev and Ackland played last time we would have beaten them. There are going to be some worried tankers in rd 20 and rd 22, I'd favour us in both games.
