1. Don't Reward Mediocrity - if you are hell bent on hanging someone out to dry then make sure you pick your mark. Reward those that play to team rules, that show heart, that play with passion. Don't reward those that show a lack of respect for the jumper; 2. Don't Pigeon Hole players [/u]- think outside the square. Remove your blinkers. Most players can play multiple roles. You can have more than one type of player in your team at the same time; 3. Don't Back Yourself Into a Corner - if you make a statement have the conviction to follow through; 4. Treat Everyone Equally - don't create a squad of blue collar workers versus those who retain their spots in the team just because they were drafted early. Select teams on merit. Don't feel pressured into selecting blokes just because they are high prized recruits; |
