He will be out of contact for about 5 months then re appear as a special commentator with his buddy Bwruce

I reckon after dancing with his sister and after the Sydney match it will be announced on the 17th July 2007 @ 10:30am. This will come after some gossip hits the media such as the Footy classified show.

However, he will continue to coach for the reminder of the year

Footy over - won't be big footy news that time of year...(no tabloid footy tv on)...all the boys on their break and it's before the draft...

...anyone thinking it will happen before the end of the season is thinking of the way the 'old' Carlton operated...the 'new' Carlton will give him the respect he deserves and it will be an amicable parting of the ways.

There'll be a nice, warm press conference...it will be a relatively transparent process with Swann and Pratt - a payout of an undisclosed sum..."but the board believes that it's in the best interests of the club that the process to find a coach that will lead Carlton to it's 17th flag should start now and that goal to win that next premiership started when Denis came to the club in extremely difficult circumstances, and we thank him profusely for his efforts throughout his 5 year tenure at the club."

N.B - "The club would also like to extend it's thanks to Barry Mitchell who's contract was not renewed last week. Barry has played an important role with the development of a young list - particularly with the clubs affiliation with the Northern Bullants Football Club. No legal action will be taken against Barry's very public personal tirade against certain individuals at Carlton - from our point of view we understand his disappointment and wish him success in his future endevours."
