Please keep all comments relating to the outcome of the board meeting tonight under this thread. The thread is now open. Speculation is the heavy weights have decided to terminate Pagan's contract today and are discussing the payout options. Pagan is supposedly holding strong. Swann, Pratt, Kernahan and Pagan are currently meeting in the city at the moment. Carlton have given him the ass, but he has apparently dug his heels in and is making it very difficult at the moment. Reported on Southern Cross news at 12pm! |

Kouta was going to speak to the media but the leadership group decided not to until they have a meeting about it says SEN. |

I can't wait for this to be resolved. Its like a divorced couple going throught the motions for the sake of the kids. Its way past time for a change. |

spot on if the club want pagan gone, they pay out his contract and we move on. unless he has clauses written into his contract by either him or the club, there should be nothing to discuss. if pagan is sacked let's hope the club does not think this will solve all our problems. IMO if pagan goes there should be a queue to follow him out. the shame about it will be that a new coach will come in with money, support, resources and a decent playing list to work with. |

IMHO I think the senior playing group should butt out ... they are hardly blameless is this whole sad, sorry saga. They should be well and truely ashamed of themselves ... the only thing I saw yesterday, was the kids trying their best. Once Swann annouces DP 's demise, he should makes it very very clear that all playing positions are on the line and past efforts and history will mean diddly-squat ... no more talk of tanking , I want to win games or go down fighting !!!! I'm sick of this shite. Give me my Navy Blues back ! |

He has never been a part of Carlton, has always just been an employee - a bad one at that. Dennis - see the light and take what is being offered, otherwise you might become the most expensive boot studder in the country |

I couldn't disagree more, sorry. You don't need any of those things as a coach to have a list playing for you and getting the basics sorted, like manning up, tackling, chasing and running to position. See Laidley: Noth Melbourne. I'm not absolving the players from what happened yesterday, but Pagan has totally lost this group and must shoulder the responsibility for that. If these rumours that he is playing hard ball are true then he is starting to disappoint me as a person in addition to disappointing me as a coach. |
