Seems like the two issues are being determined seperately -

Fev has accepted the $900 fine for wrestling but the more serious claim is yet to be considered.

Check out the article from Sportal posted this afternoon:

Fev will have no case to answer.
Without wanting to finger an opposition player,
McManus's browneye gouge might land him in the shit though. He's expecting a ring from the AFL and a ring back from Chambers. Could be open and shut case. Better be careful unless he's looking for a date at the Tribunal.

Bullshit charge because they dont have to prove eye gouging. Just Unnecessary contact to the face. The difference with the Scotland case is that Fevola was unsighted and being choked. Still hope he'll get off

When does Melbourne Victory play their first game? Footy is now a game for wimps and you can't even bump a star without the media blowing it up into an assasination attempt.

So is that it? Is he off?

So does that mean if he pleads guilty at the tribunal he will only be reprimanded. That is how I see it.

If Hird can get a reprimand and he had a level3 and 7 points, Fev would face the same as his is a level 1 and 5 points but has to go to the tribunal as it is contact to the face!!!!

The charge against Fevola will be heard on Wednesday night following the hearing already set down for Sydney's Darren Jolly.

The incident was assessed by the AFL Match Review Panel as negligent conduct (one point), medium impact (two points), in play (one point) and body contact (one point).

This is a total of five activation points, which relates to a Level One offence, drawing 125 points and a one-game suspension. He has no applicable good or bad record. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand with no suspension and 93.75 points towards his future record.

Fev can count himself lucky.. until next time he does something stupid...

I think you'll find that this is referring to the Darren Jolly incident. Fev is on a misconduct charge which doesn't have activation points.
