I wouldve been so cut if he got suspended for that. They made the right decision.

Nothing in it, so the right decision.

That was just a free kick after a clumsy attempt to spoil. Mark Johnson should get 2 weeks for taking out Lovett's opponent at a critical stage.

P.S After this post I am no longer Stormin" Norman.

The panel also cleared Carlton midfielder Nick Stevens after he made contact with Fremantle skipper Peter Bell when trying to spoil during the first quarter at Subiaco, ruling that the action was a pushing motion made with minimal force.

curious.

but then also this:

Quote:
But with the panel yet to complete its review of round five games, Fevola could still come under further scrutiny for his altercation with Grover which resulted in the Docker leaving the field shortly after because of the blood rule.

What does this mean? They've looked at the video enought o clear Stevo ( :D ), but they stopped the video and din't look at Fev? They clearly did look at The Incident because:

Quote:
The AFL Match Review Panel has also issued Carlton spearhead Brendan Fevola and Fremantle defender Antoni Grover with $900 fines for wrestling each other during the second quarter of their clash at Subiaco Oval on Saturday afternoon.

So what's it all mean. Given they cleared Stevo, we obviously must wait for Fev to be similarly cleared or charged. Not entirley sure I follow how this works.

From what I saw, there is no actual footage of Fev putting his hand over Grover's face.

All you see is Fev's hand moving and Grover's face.

In other words...inconclusive evidence.

It means theyre bringing in the Feds and getting DNA samples from under Fevs nails and Grovers face to send of to the lab.
Then theyre calling in experts from the CIA who will digitally enhance the shots and slow them down with a lipreader present to analyse what Grover said....
UN Forensic scientists expert in collecting evidence for War Crimes Tribunals in the Hague are hurriedly being amassed from Kosovo/Bosnia to help with the investigation.

Just watching Law and Order - channel 10. News break, cross to sports tonight and he finishes by saying "AND BRENDAN FEVOLA ESCAPES SUSPENSION".

Then he was gone.....

Nick Stevens hit Peter Bell very high from behind with a forearm on Saturday. He might be looked at by the review committee.

you are taking the piss - but to me that sounds exactly like what they are doing.

they have looked at the incident - and initially couldnt find anything so they are holding their decision until they try and find something.

the are hunting that is for sure - so considering that, our only hope for Fev to get off is for lack of footage.
