Black and Judd into the midfield would be a reasonable start.

Those that are part of the problem are Pagan, Wittnal, Bannister, Wiggins, Betts, Saddo and Kernahan.

The solution is allot more difficult because the problem is so big, but we need better development for our kids, Kennedy should have made some progress in two years, but I am afraid that he may have been in top nick during draft camps and comps and is not as talented as we may think.
A new coach and culture at the club to bind the team as we play more like a bunch of individuals than a team.
Decide on who is our back six and play them irrrespective of the result as that is the only way that we will settle our defence.
We desperately need a couple rucks of genuine size and also some more leg speed through the middle.

Good points....Bit harsh on Betts probably....but needs to add more strings to his bow you would think which can be done....

Leave Bower alone. The kid is learning and if we don't blood him now when the season is over and we've got nothing to lose and everything to gain when do we play him?

Problems: Short term thinkers; selection committie; rookie list limitations when it comes to senior promotion; complete lack of confidence in the game plan; senior group providing a poor example

Solution: Kids getting played, actually getting game time, and not getting dragged onto the bench after every mistake; rejig the football department (aka mass sackings); Trade Fevola; Attempt to attract a quality opposition player or two; Make Stevens Captain; Change the Carlton football department into a football education academy who's sole purpose is to teach the kids how to play the game and how to be successful on the field and in life

You'd have to you'd think surely....

Stephen Kernahan MUST GO. Leave the club, Sticks - you were a champion of the game and have done enough for us. For the sake of the club, it's time to move on otherwise we face the biggest risk to losing Swann by retaining Sticks if he is going to veto any decision Swann has in mind!!!

Greg Swann needs to be in charge with everything to do with on & off field key appointments/decisions - period.

the only thing this squad is lacking is leadership.. when the tide is swinging we have no one putting up their hand, setting an example in order to inspire the team and show leadership... we need leaders...kouta is great, but not what he used to be in 1995-2001...
lappin tried hard
stevens is injured
whitnall tries hard
currently we have none...
simpson is terrific, but we need more...

sydney have leaders on every single line..

What makes you think Swanna is any better at the on field stuff than Sticks?

What has Kernahan done? Common denominator in the last 6 years at board level - too many mates interest at heart, eg Whitnall, Ratten, etc.

At least Swann knows how to make hard decisions, and is a proven administrator!!!

What's he got to do with the on field stuff?

We need to bring in a whole new football department.

A successful track record in managing an AFL club, as opposed to Sticks' rather poor one.

That said, I very much doubt Sticks is vetoing Swann's decisions. Seems pretty clear to me that the process for fixing our football department issues is under way. It's just not going to happen as fast as a lot of people on here want.

football dept is fine... we need PLAYERS to put up their hand when it gets tough. we need leaders...

kangaroos have one of the worst lists but have five-six leaders that can inspire and keep the weak list together at match day when the momentum is swinging the other direction... we dont have this necessity.

On-field personnel appointments, eg assistants & head coach. Not on-field player moves
