I want to buy a Carlton game on DVD (a win, naturally) featuring some of the finest exploits of one Fraser Brown. Can anyone suggest a match? I suppose I would order it through the 'name a game website'. Unless the club themselves sell any.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Cheers.

Anything from the second half of 1998 would be ideal for a Fraser Brown fan as he was on fire and on his way to the B&F

1995 Qual Final also a good Brown game.
And of course the 1999 Prelim Final's last 30 seconds 8)

Round 20, 1998 looks pretty good, 42 touches and 2 goals.

Does anyone else think that in todays world of soft cock umpiring that Brown may be penalised for a similar tackle? Also known as the James Hird rule? (in the back)

Yes, yes I do. Which is why I want to re-live the glory days of old. When men were men and women stayed in the kitchen.

I can only safely say such things from behind the relative security of my keyboard.

Absolutely.

He would be done for "in the back" if he did that today.

I can't go past 99. He had a brilliant dose of shit on the liver that day - and that's when he was at his best, when he had the shits.

I dont reckon he came at him from the front and rolled, wasnt in the back.

Imagine how good it felt to squash that thug Dean Wallis into the turf!! :-D

I'm not saying I thought it was a free, just that todays umpires would pay it as such.

Then again todays umpires pay frees for farting in the wrong direction.

Had a look at the 'name a game' website. Much of the games are only on VHS! Anyone know where I could find DVDs? Preferrably somewhere that would benefit the club.

Yeah we demolished them that day in front of a lockout crowd. Most fans left convinced we were going to be the premiers, little did we know it was going to be our last win for the year.

You probably will not have any luck, but the only other place that I know of is:

http://www.aflfilms.com.au/

The other option is to convert the VHS to a DVD if you get it.

It would have been too. Losing Braddles for the finals series killed us that year.

That game came to my mind immediately also. I was sitting in the JE Stand. Browney played up forward that day becaues Deisel was still hogging the centre. Was the dog coming back from injury also? Can't quite remember.
