These are things that must be done ASAP and will have a n immediate positive effect:

1. Sack Pagan - has lost all the players now, even his love child Fev
2. Keep Fev on a 2 year deal he will be keen to sign on if Pagan is not at the helm.
3. In order to avoid major embaressment to Lance who has been a stalwart of the club he should resign captaincy or announce that he has decided to have co-captaincy with Stevo and Mark Murphy as a master and apprentice role.
4. Re-sign Kouta for 1 more year the bloke is till easily in our best half dozen players.
5. Announce that youngsters will be given an extended opportunity for remainder of season.
6. Sack pagan
7. Appoint Brett Ratten a interim coach
8. Start negotiations with murphy and gibbs for contract extensions now (even though it is more than 1 yr before contracts expire)
9. Get Pratt to mak some announcement about anything............whenever he speaks i feel reassured
10. promote a rookie.........always a feel good story (and we hve room with 2 on long term injury list)

Uhh, It may be just me, but I think our club is already taking steps in the right direction.

It's been not even 12 months and so far we've:

Scored Australia's richest man as our president.
Pinched one of football's best administrators from Collingwood to be our CEO.
Got ourselves a new football ops director.
Organised a hotel deal that will deliver us significant non-football revenue from 2008 onwards.
About to appoint a fulltime development coach for our youngsters.
Significantly reduced our debt.
Got ourselves on track to make a profit in 2007.
Started work on the redevelopment of Princes Park into an elite training venue.

On top of that, it's pretty bloody clear to anyone with eyes and ears that our coaching department will be overhauled for the 2008 season. But done properly, not via some knee-jerk reaction.

Honestly - what more do people expect?????

Oh, we're also one of only four clubs to have the resources and foresight to invest in a South African development program.

And I bet there's more.

I think Murph may have gotten three years at the start, so probably next year.

Gibbs has either two or three years as well.

Why sack Pagan mid season? He's gone at the end of the year anyway (more than likely).
Pratt making announcements about anything sounds a bit uncharacteristic and silly.
I think Asiake was mentioned as a elevation til he injured himself.
Contracts are normally negotiated at the end of seasons, not in the middle after 2 thrashings.
Fevs signed through next season and may not want to be at the club...

A couple more wins? A bit less tanking? Some cohesion on the field and off?

All good things, obviously, as is the African development. However, there is an evident lack of on-field development, as opposed to off-field. We ARE progressing and building the foundations of a new dynasty, both on and off the field, but this season has been full of ups and down that we'd all like to plateau, preferably in the higher region.

Do people seriously expect onfield improvement just a few months after an entire reorganisation of our off-field leadership?

What was Pratt supposed to do, wave a magic wand and turn Bentick into Mitchell, Ackland into Cox and Russell into Judd?

The on-field stuff, even though it's the very reason for our club's existence, will always flow on from how well our entire management structure is performing.

Just a few short months after COMPLETELY CHANGING our off-field structure, and people want to see results on the field? Well, that's just unrealistic.

New board, new executive management... it's obvious that the next step to take is changes in the football department. And over time, these changes will result in the sort of on-field momentum we all hope to see.

We don't have to be patient. Just remotely realistic about the task ahead.

Trading away our match winner should ease the pain though. I hope we 'win' as big as we did in the Hamill deal ...

Dont see Voss keeping Ratten..is meant to have his own team in place already and its never smart to keep a potential successor to your job on the staff..
