Ok i think the time has come for something drastic to be done at our Clubs football department. Listening to the Bullants game on radio, it sound like the kids are playing like our seniors, couldn't care less, no passion, no enthusiasm, no game plan, no structure, poor skills and decision making.

What has happened the past fortnight to cause this major turnaround in form?

Something major must have happened. We just can't be this bad in such a short period or can we?

I guess you can blame that on Fev's body language too.

It's all part of the problem. If you missed the Bullants radio broadcast then you just missed the best bake of Mitchell you will ever here by the commentators.

Embarrassing is what it was. No passion from Mitch and the commentators basically said it sounded like someone walked in off the street and took a shot at a speech. There is something very off the nose with Carlton at the moment and i for one am concerned. Something needs to be done, and I fear it will take another 9 rounds for it to happen.

On the plus side Grigg should get a shot next week (but who the hell knows with the decisions the MC has been making lately)

If there's a 'special' board meeting convened in the next day or two there might just be some movement on the horizon ...

There is an air of inevitability at the moment. The winds of change are a blowin'. I can feel it in my guts.

Or is it just gas.........?

Yep, it's gas, thank goodness I've got my own office.

Catastrophic result this. These guys had so much to play for - what a disgrace. Any club with a half decent list is just hammering the Ants.

Our list and club psyche is in disarray and it must get back to player management/develpment.

Jacobs in the "best", so let's hope its bye bye Ackland. Seems Grigg did well enough too. Too traumatised to talk about Ando.

Dick, you know what to do.... (but wait until DP gets home from Archer celebrations). :garthp:

Easy tiger... I think they're saying Fev's body language was the symptom not the cause.

I understand your frustration, and yep he’s not the only one out there we can point fingers at, I think were just all frustrated after a few good signs in the 2 weeks prior to the hawks debacle, and then we follow up with this **** against Freo. I just want to see some passion for the jumper again :(

It's hard not to question everything at the moment.

The senior team is a joke, or more particularly, the coaching of the senior team. Conceding 130 points a game!!! Kick it long to the forwards...brilliant tactical nouse!

Gibbs on Farmer...no comment.

Pagan said in his press conference that the ball came out of the forward line too easily. Hello!!!! We've all been saying that on here for 2 months!! And he puts Fev, Waite, Fisher and O'hAilpin down there, wth Lappin and Wiggins, and wonders why when the ball hits the ground they run it out and score. Amazing.

The kids simply are not coming on. I have no idea whether it's recruiting, or player devlopment from the coaches, or Mitchell, or what, but we are way behind what's going on at some other clubs.

Mitchell worries me. I've not seen him coach first hand, although have watched games on TV, and heard his addresses, which don't impress me. And now that Morrell, Prenda, Livingston etc aren't there, and the team is full of kids, they're getting flogged, and our listed places aren't impressing.

I have no confidence in any process that has Kernahan in control of it. And that is my biggest worry...if Pratt is true to his word and defers all football matters to Kernahan, we are in big touble.

I don't want to be melodramatic, but we seem to be falling behind other clubs in terms of player development. I am not worried about Pagan, he won't last. I am worried about who they will get to replace him, and hope that they undergo a thorough process using people outside the Club tohelp make the decision.

And whoever was responsible for the decision to get Ackland and McLaren should be sacked.

Hmm, thought I'd feel better getting that off my chest, but I don't.

Hate to say it, but right about now, that Priority Pick is looking pretty bloody tempting.

Oh, and on Fev...had a chat with my family, and we all agreed. IF (and it's a big IF) you could get a star...Judd, Riewoldt, Dal Santo...we would all trade Fev in order to do it. With Waite looking more and more like a CHF, then maybe Kennedy becomes a FF. Fev is a star, no doubt. But he is also incredibly unreliable. Still. And we can't afford to be relying on someone who is unreliable.

And in the meantime, we let go a talented unreliable player with minimal leadership skills, and pick up a talented reliable player with great leadership skills. And we are desperate for leaders.

No offence Fevolution, I know you'll hate that suggestion. But the Club is bigger than any one player, and this MAY be an opportunity to improve the culture and performance of the club. If a star is available, it's time for the Club to show some balls.

Lets face it the board has shown how ruthless they can be by bringing in Swann, extra recruitment staff, 9 hotels and $$$$$. They will not put up with this shit.

Our coach today was at Archers 300th instead of watching our youngsters. I hardly see Pagan at any of the Bullant games. What a farce we have between Mitchell and Pagan - NO DEVELOPMENT

I have faith in the board. They have shown what they can do off field and I trust they will makes the right decisions between now and the 2008 season.

Give them time, lot of egos there that get what they want in almost all aspects of life. You think we are pissed off - I'm sure they are.

Not so much a joke because it wasn't intended to be funny but it was full of sarcasm.

The worst thing is that we have nothing to look forward to.....there's no great players coming back from injury or young kids demanding a game by dominating in the reserves.....there's no light on the horizon.

We had two cameo games of exciting footy which turned out to be a mirage......and that's it.

And......I'm an optimist !

Does anyone think that Mark H reads these threads and reports to the board the feelings of the masses.?

Wouldn't it be good if someone from the club could reply to our concerns?

I realise that'll never happen though,as the media would be all over any
snippets of info. :(

Id like to think that the club isnt swayed by us.. but have plans in place to turn things around on field.
No more of this amataeurish crossing fingers and hoping its all going to fall into place cos its 6 years now.

Look at the Collingwood side that nearly (should have) beat Hawthorn tonight. No Rocca, Clement, Buckley, Rhys Shaw, Prestigiacomo, O'Brien, Rusling etc. On paper they were no better than our side that has been flogged by the Hawks and Freo in the last couple of weeks.

I'm also concerned with the stagnating development of some of our young players, particularly Kennedy and Bower. Something ain't right.....

Next year lets get Voss as senior coach and put Ratts in charge of the Carlton Reserves - and cut our affilliation with the Bullants.
