Maybe what I am about to say has been spoken about but quite possibly more in hope than fact. However I am here to tell you I had a very interesting conversation with a CEO cousin of mine who just happens to be in the know with one of our club's big power brokers. I'd love to provide you with names believe me but he has sworn me to be discrete which I reluctantly agreed to be.

Be very sure that there are major changes happening at the club almost now on a daily basis. The club is going after the absolute best personnel on all levels. This includes Coach and assistants, admin, development, recruiting, and yes players. No stone is being left unturned and nobody is considered to be unapproachable.

Big name players are being targeted as we speak...yes the Judds and the Pavlich's of the world etc etc. And also the best on the coaching level. Despite the obvious candidates feel very reassured that we will have the best coach and staff next year (within the realms of the possible) bar none. Essendon* scampering today with the Sheedy issue is no co-incidence. Other clubs know that we are on the move...in a big way

The days of complacency at Carlton are well and truly over. A new dawn has begun. Like others I had my days of doubt however following this honest and open conversation, I am now convinced that Pratt, Swanny and Icke have the bull by the horns and are going hell for leather. These are going to be very exciting times at Carlton starting from now and beyond... :-D

P.S. Do not expect the obvious...

Love the post Dom, if it's true. 8)

Dare I quote a Paganism - but blue skies ahead for the old dark navy Blues!

Hey Dom - are you able to expand on this comment any more? I will understand if you can't but you have got me intrigued with that statement.

The rubbish that has been posted by some about the devastating effect that losses will have on the brand of the Carlton Football Club will surely be consigned to the Waste Transfer Station where they belong.

A result of 4 wins and 18 losses for season 2007 - will pale into insignificance if only half the things "thedominator" suggests come to fruition.

We will smash the 35,000 member mark in season 2008 - if even 1/4 of these things come off.

Our TPP gives us scope - plus 2 major player "retirements" - to offer the "cream" of uncontracted players (read PLAYERS - plural) high front-end loaded contracts.

Expect the unexpected indeed. Let's hope Ratts can put some wins on the board and some confidence into the younger players. If we can land a Judd/Pav to the young guys on the list who have renewed confidence will set us up very nicely for 2008.

If we serve up more 100pt losses then we'll lose members real quick (sometimes it pays to listen to the masses). I'm sick of losing, time to change the trend, and great to see the club heading in the right direction.

Worsfold ruled himself out last night on the news. Mind you, it was with a tongue-in-cheek comment of "How much are we talking about"..

but he did say not interested.

I still reckon Pratt SHOULD chase him mercilessly

The sad thing is we actually had him once, and we let him go.

We never let him go.

Once the WC position became available he was always going to go for it and get it.

This is music to all our ears :-D

I have no doubt that we will soar to an incredible new height in the near future as we have the right people in charge who live and breath success.

This coupled with the fact that they have an opportunity to be a part of one of the greatest turn arounds of fortune in sporting history.

Evrybody want to remembered in the history books, especially guys like Pratt and Swan........

Interesting comments from the Bombers president.

Basically saying that Pagans sacking forced them to sack Sheedy just so they could go out and start looking for the best coach available.
