Richard Pratt is not going to come back to Carlton on a rescue mission to allow some Joe Blow to be the new Coach....IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

Does anyone really think that Richard Pratt would headhunt Greg Swann, and not have any interest whatsoever in who the new Coach will be after tipping in "X" amount of money?

Brett Ratten is a good fit in the Carlton future outlook.

I would have no trouble with McKenna as coach as he seems highly rated in the field. I'm sure the club would have looked at the experienced successful guys and found them to be unavailable, and are thus looking elsewhere. I think Bond is the third, and I have faith in the committee making the decision as long as they keep Sticks under control

Swann & Dick can have as much say as they like

Well Ratten passed the game after the honeymoon game test which is a good effort. Extra box ticked there, if he keeps this up looks like the job will be his.

The players are coming out in support of him, he's performing well in the media and he's overseeing more competant performances on the ground. It'll be impossible for the club to remove him to appoint anyone else, it's the Paul Roos situation, the members would have called an EGM if Wallace had have been put in his place. You can't put a caretaker in who is a genuine contender - and a club man - and expect to remove him after 5 rounds. I'm more than happy with Ratts but the club has essentially appointed him without seeing the other candidates. Bradley should have been appointed caretaker allowing us to canvas all the options.

IIRC Bradley was offered the caretaker role first, but declined. Ratten was then offered the caretaker position and accepted.

If there are no 10+ goal losses in the next 4 rounds he will be favourite at least in the eyes of supporters.

there is alot of parkin influence in Ratten's game plan...and parko's game plan was the yard stick for many years.. in fact sydney and stkilda have the same game plan these days.

That does make sense, because it would allow the club to interview all of their candidates (incl Ratts) without distractions on their time. Ratts did say he is still yet to be formally interviewed for the job because his focus is squarely on the team right now. I guess on the flipside though Ratts has had two real-world interviews and has passed them both with flying colours.
