Looked late and certainly high.

1 week?

At least. Clumsy at best, bloody shame, great player. Not a downhill skier, huh!.

I would want one week if Stevens had been hit like that...that was dumb from Stevens and undisciplined.

Clumsy. But it wasn't a fist. There wasn't that much force. And it was simultaneous with the marking contest. I would be very surprised, if he were to get cited for that.

Pretty common event from defenders. Chris Scott on Hamill in round 1 (when Hamill was taking the mark) was much worse than that. And he didn't get cited.

It looked very much to me like he was trying to punch the ball on Bell's left using his right arm (not very coordinated with the left hand?) and (un)fortunately the back of Bell's neck got in the way.

If he gets even investigated for that it would be a joke. Forget about it

Live at the ground it looked slightly late. I think it was a free and 50 only, I'd be surprised if anything more comes of it (haven't seen it on TV though)

Could go either way.
Remember any contact around the head is now out.

Champion footballer.. kept running for 4 quarters and would be wondering why he didnt stay at Port. No help from the others..had to try and do it himself.

tell that to Llyod.

nothing in it - shouldnt have been 50, just Bell carrying on like he was shot in the ass. If it was any other player than Bell (referring to his height) it would have hit the centre of the back and no-one would be talking about the incident at all.

Not much in it I thought.
More a pushing force than a hit.

If there's a recent ex-player on the board which looks at these things, then he'll get off...after all, who HASN'T wanted to punch Peter Bell in the head at some stage or other....

As I posted in the Fev thread, this shouldn't warrant much scrutiny. Bell is one of those players who'd be well suited to the soccer field the way he throws himself to the ground whenever he feels contact.
