I'm only going by the AFL website stats but... Carlton tackles 33 Freo tackles 69 They more than doubled us  - surely that has got to be a concern. I dont think I've ever seen such a lopsided tackle count. That equates to us not being able to put enough pressure around the ground (particularly the midfield). For those who saw it - why was the count differential so great?

We didn't man up - our forward line pressure was woeful. We had players going up for marking contests and not staying on the ground to put pressure on Freo's HB line - who were then allowed to run the ball out into midfield with ridiculous ease. We had no numbers at the feet of the contests - simple. |
