Pretty smart strategy sucking up to the umpires.

Fevola has had a sensationally raw deal since the NAB Cup - where he must have thought it was Christmas.

The umpires have put away the soft interpretation of this rule on Fev.

I agree with the bloke...if Richo was good enough to play infront he'd be kicking ALOT more goals...look how successful Matty 'cant touch this' Lloyd is with the Umpires' heads up his backside...he plays in front, he gets the ball, he kicks goals...simple!

Fev doesn't have to worry about the man behind him though as they usually can't get near him to push, it's the guys that crash into him from front on that the umps should be looking at.

Credit to fev he's done a wonderful job in turning this around.

The frees should now follow.

Spot on Game. Twice it happened on the weekend & nothing!! Once was right in front of us & the umpire was actually standing right at the contest watching & still couldn't pay it!

I second that because while the other player barrelling into Fev looks like he is trying to spoil, he is clearly trying to remove his kidneys, spleen, liver.......

Whenever a player who is running with the flight of the ball and trying to spoil the player trying to mark, the umpire very rarely does not pay a free against the guy trying to spoil - even when no contact has been made - what's the difference?
