Whilst I agree with the sentiments expressed, does this mean we get our money paid to him for season 2005 refunded, in that he was negligent in his coaching duties, for having undertaken tactics that so obviously undermine the development of our playing list?

I simply can not disagree with what Denis is saying :? . I imagine the Crows will tee-up and join in the goals, which could result in either a close match or a flogging. It all depends on how well we man up and clear the ball.

"“We want to take the game on, we want to be bold, we want to be attacking, we want to play one-on-one. I don’t know what the opposition want to do"

You said it Denis

Want...want...want!

Where is the giving Denis!

Shit! If we kick 40 goals and the opposition kicks 50 we still get flogged!

How does a teams defence learn from getting 22 goals kicked on them?

The only good thing about this article is the undercurrent of nervousness.

I have a feeling Denis is under the pump.

"We really need the win"

Is actually

"@#$%&!...if we dont snaffle a few wins im [REDACTED]!"

Why the hell has it taken him almost 5 years to want to do this? Why did we have to sit through all that flooding and negative crap in 05' & 06'?

Jesus.................

Sorry, sorry......................I'm sorry! I should be looking at this as a positive. It's just that the style of game we've played the past couple of years really pissed me off.

Well done to Denis. It's exactly what we've asked of him (ESPECIALLY ME!) So i guess it's a case of better late than never.

Here's hoping it pays off for him.

Good to know the art of selective quoting is alive and well.

Looking at that quote, you might be forgiven for thinking that refers to the game against Adelaide rather than the opposition each week. But of course the latter was the intention. And the sense of it was that Pagan will play attacking football whatever the other teams do.

Some teams will flood, and others will go for the shootout, even if they son't want to do that regularly as both Lethal and Laidley observed.

Yeah, rightio - no coach knows exactly what the opposition coach is going to do... if any coach from any team knew what the opposition plan was they would, no matter what - stand a 90% chance of winning the match...

Good to hear we are not resorting to the negative style of football that is ruining the game, a similar style to that we played last year. Positive football wins games, shootout or not - I'd rather a 4 all match (win or loss), than a nil all draw...

Besides that, attacking football builds confidence - give players leeway to be creative and play without the constraints of strict possession football.

Carrots 50th, Stevens back at the club (hopefully having a word the team to fire them up)... you never know... fingers crossed we won't be hearing any negative, vitriolic crap we usually hear after a match next week...

Then again...

Agree with Bill....dont mind attacking footy but two attacking players in Walker and Gibbs are being turned into robot defenders with limited success...lets get some attacking players where they can attack better and thats away from the backline.
Its amazed me that a kid who can kick six goals in the SANFL seniors cant get the odd run down forward......
Stevens is out and Walker is playing on the Full Back line....how is this attacking......
