I was just wondering if there has been any movement in the proposed re-development of Optus oval that was discussed when we moved our home games.
Has anyone got any info? Is it still "on the agenda"?

Caro reported recently that hte Kangas were playing hard ball. They talk about redeveloping Arden St. Of course they want MCC, AFL and State Govt to pay. They all want the Roos to switch to OO so wont agree. The Roos are probably trying to squezze a better arrangement

North just built a new ice bath for the players and the coaching staff were the ones that laid the cement! No money and they're playing hardball when they have the worst facilities in the league. Carlton will demolish the Gardiner stand to build the new facilities and Essendon* are spending another $4 million to put in new facilities in the soon to be demolished Showers stand.

What's interesting in all this is that the AFL has bankrolled our move only as long as ONE organisation (if not two) join us @ optus oval. Details are ofcourse secretive, but I just hope the AFL haven’t shafted us again.

Having North Melbourne as a room-mate at Princess Park / Optus Oval is just another step closer to Carlton merging with North. I don't want that!
