The Monica Lewinsky thing?

‘How not to dress up a website’
They’re a strange lot, footy fans, and some are a lot stranger than others.
But Eye reader Steve pointed out something that was very tacky on the Carlton Football Club website.
The top story is a big welcome to Anthony Raso, who still has a year of school footy at Haileybury ahead of him before he can don the navy blue jumper. The Blues used their last pick of the last draft to choose Raso as a pre-emptive draft choice for 2005, so the welcoming write-up, which was posted on New Years Day, was fair enough.
But until last night, one paragraph read:
‘While Anthony runs around in 2005, trying to finish school, play for Haileybury and still be a part of Carlton in a workload reminiscent of Monica Lewinski in the Oval Office, keep your fingers crossed for his development in the navy blue’.
Huh? Monica Lewinski? Well, the infamous dress was blue, but a swag of Carlton supporters agreed with Steve that it was pretty tacky.
And so did someone with responsibility at Carlton who had the Lewinski reference scrubbed.
C.... how many TC posters are there starting with C?
