Interesting article in the Sun I think we someimes underestimate Heath in his worth to the Bues at moment and if does cean up his off field incidents he will be a pretty important payer for us over next coming years http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/ ... 42,00.html Dont think i was fully aware of his value to the Blues Quote: After averaging 27 possessions in 2006, Scotland has maintained the rate this year (83 in three games). Quote: Only Scott West had more of the ball last year, and Scotland was ranked the most effective kick in the competition.
He is very straight up so cant fault him on that and also seems to realise he needs to stop the drink so from what he has said ony had a drink once since the ballerat incident after the great win over the bombers last week. Also in the sun not in the link above he was glowing of praise for the club / fev / Pratt and the change and feel of the club / whits Anyway if he has been granted the most effective kick in the comp and the second highest possesion gatherer it makes for a good combo. He will be even more important this year with Stevo out and i hope Scoto knuckles down and as he said the penny has dropped and makes it his most important year. |

..and to think , they kept Woewodin instead! ![]() Fev was BOG by a mile last week Scotland plays a very important role for us, who ever says he chases easy kicks doesn’t watch enough Carlton games... Last week he ran into packs putting his body on the time numerous times |

Interesting article, would have liked it to be a bit more football related rather than focusing on the off-field stuff. Scotland is a very important player for us. The passage of play last week where Scotland ran the ball along the Southern Stand wing and delivered a 45m pass onto Fev's chest was SENSATIONAL. We're going to rely on Scotland's delivery even more now that Stevo is out. |

The interesting part for mine was when he became the second senior CFC player to mention that there was a drinking problem at the club in '04 and '05. I think that it is good that they are acknowledging the fact -- and especially by putting that information in the public domain they are holding themselves accountable if that sort of drinking behaviour returns. But you also have to remember that Carlton has been the worst performed AFL club this century. Surely the sort of knuckling down that we are seeing now should have happened in '05 and not '07? |

Should we read into this that the playing group were dissatisfied with the coaching staff? Any other theories? |

Same here - Fev was great, but mainly in the second half - thought Heath was good during the the first half for us when it looked bad for us. I notice on the field off the ball, Scotland shows leadership towards some of younger players directing them where to be. And by the way, if you remember when Scotland gave that free kick away to Monfries late in the first qtr for a two goal play after the scum kicked a goal 20 seconds earlier - well he was defending Gibbs as the little sniper Monfries was stomping on Gibbs foot and Scotland came in to fly the flag after what he'd seen!!! |

I've been on this for a while but I still don't reckon Heath gets the credit he deserves, definitely in the wider football community but also from Carlton supporters many of whom for some reason (not sure exactly what) just can't seen to embrace him. He was our most consistent player last season for mine and has started well again this time around. He shows on-field leadership, precise kicking skills on both feet and is willing to put his body on the line. He is in our top few players for mine. |

Definitely one of the best 2-sided players going around. To be honest I couldn't even tell you if he was a right or left footer. |

Was that the symptom or the cause? |
