I understand that a big article will appear in tomorrow's Herald Sun with Lance revealing a fair bit of what has been going on for him recently off field. Not too sure of the sense behind the timing of the article though. |

Interesting... Ricky Nixon made a hoo-ha on the radio last weekend that the 'the truth would come out', and implied that Shane Whitnall will come off looking the goat. Then Shane is reported as apparently wants to patch things up this week... And the week ends with a large HS story... Better to get this shit sorted and out of the papers now instead of hanging around all year. |

Who cares really I'm over the Lance/Shane crap Shane wants the spotlight and people that keep talking about it gives him what he wants. I hope its put to bed ASAP and Lance/Shane have a beer and he gets back to playing good footy, end of story |

Goltzenberg Quote: Shane wants the spotlight and people that keep talking about it gives him what he wants
That was the point I was trying to make with my reference to the timing. ie. Shane has said he wants to settle the issue, I don't see why Lance would bring it up again. |

Today's Herald Sun. Seems Lance did nothing wrong and his brother and sister-in-law are psychos... http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/ ... 61,00.html |

It would appear so George - the wife Tammy in particular seems a bit incensed/unhinged by the reference that she may have sent the threatening messages to herself. |

Look, I've posted a few "brief" times on this...I'm no psychologist...but gee I've seen this before. 1)Someone is a little off the rails.. 2)Everyone accommodates... 3) Someone's demands/ideas/expectations are fuelled by the fact they "get there way" so keep going furtehr off rails or more outrageous in demands... 4)Everyone starts getting tired of accommodating...start "throwing in the towel" of support 5)Spouse is the last person who can/will throw in the towel 6)Spouse gets hammered now for not supporting enough and not having a go at those who "threw in the towel" 7)Spouse tries as hard as possible but can't get anywhere....Go Back to point 6) and repeat cycle ...... Inevitable conclusions.... ![]() (Did I hear Shane is thinking of moving to Qld?) BUT everyone involved with "person" has to also "pretend" that all of the others don't exist 9) pressure on spouse builds! 10) Spouse can have bigger nervous breakdown than"person" 11) Person and Spouse have "catastrophic divorse" as all built up vitriol is "spouses fault" .."why couldn't I see this earlier that YOU were the one that did X, Y, Z" 12)...too ugly to mention Unfortunately if someone doen't get help...A LOT OF it and at the right time, I've seen this scenarion play out WAYYY too many times... I know we're footy fans , and we love Lance (well some of us do ![]() As I said, just life lessons....give them space and think about your own situations |

So, will there be any forthcoming apologies? Caroline Wilson declared that in taking the matter to court, Lance had done a disservice to the club. Now it seems that Lance did nothing wrong, and has been dealing with a delusional Brother and Sister-in-law. Caro was fairly strong in her criticism of Ch. 9 for 'exploiting' Jon Hay who has mental issues... Will she apologise for her criticisms given that Lance has been dealing with people with obvious mental issues? This exonerates Lance to a certain extent - It would seem as if court was the only option. |

2nd...sorry to hear that... At least you see the kids... Maybe I'm in the wrong profession...just seen it soooo many times with mates and relatives and you just wish that it wouldn't go that way,... you even advise if you can (and guarantee you are the first chucked to the outer) but it all just seems to roll on the "same old way" again. Must be something in our DNA? |

It's two seperate issues. There's not one person here (I'd hope) that doesn't feel for the innocent victims, the kids. It's the pressure that was brought upon the situation with Lance taking on one of the highest profiled positions in our community. From CFC's view point they don't need this attention. Id've thought Lance would've been keen to keep out of the public glare as much as possible to deal with his situation. Like it or not, AFL captains' lives are very public. Lance had/has a choice. |

Yeah but you are hardly a voice of objectivity on the matter. You just don't like Lance, or at least don't want him in the side, which is fine, but cut this anti-Lance rubbish. It brought unwanted publicity on the club, yes; but Lance has apparently been cleared of any wrongdoing. It is not Lance's fault that several other family members of his appear somewhat unstable. |
