The way we are playing and are coached we wont win another game for the rest of the season

Melb with the amount of players out should have been a easy victory for the Blues but that was just a poor effort all round

To be honest i dont really know how good any of our recruits are since both Pagan and Mitchell seem to have completely drained any enthusiasm from these Kids.

Murphy could be good no matter what the coach he is lucky
Gibbs will be much better and one of the best when a Voss is able to guide him.

The rest of the kids Grigg / Hartlett / Kennedy / Russell / Bower / Edwards / Jackson ect ect will all be better when they dont have a coach that puts them on the bench if they make a simple error.

Wait till we get a coach who can instill confidence who commands respects Who is enthusiastic and passionate and instills that into the young team.

IMO we need to ensure we get pick 1.

I hear and understand people who say we should not tank but can someone explain how we can improve without getting the best possible pick we can. How will winning 5 or 6 games this year help us?

Carlton's problems stem from the large void between the young players (under 25) and the players who should be in there prime (over 25). We have precious little in this critical category and that is why the young guys are getting no direction.

I wish we could go out and buy 3 or 4 good players over 25 but it ain't going to happen.

We need to keep rebuilding with youth and let time repair what neglect has caused.

We had better brace ourselves for more next year because this process won't be quick or easy.

Voss as coach would also make me happy.

After watching the game at subiaco were the lack of desire to work for the team became evident, which is something you dont see on tv.
Today on TV i saw a much better effort but there looked like either confusion or a lack of confidence in what they were trying to achieve.
I dont think we should tank but in saying that i dont think we have that choice.
Im not to sure an additional fist round pick will solve that much unless he a ruckman/in and under clearance genius who can rest at CHB.
Smart trading and new football department will be far more important in returning the blues t the top.

It's not a matter of tanking; we are not good enough to win another game. Today's match was our best chance until we play Melbourne again in Round 22. By then I imagine several of Neitz, Bruce, Green, Rivers, Johnstone etc will be playing.

If we are 4-17 before the last round (and Richmond have 6 or 10 points) play all kids.

Would be a disaster to win another game before the end of the year.

We've lost enough picks without taking them off ourselves.

Can posters be banned for attempting to steal reserved seats at games? 8)

Just admit it mikkey, you'd do it too if you could get away with it.

Winning 1 or 2 more games is a disaster. No change from where we are now, no real onfield benefit, lose the PP.

Give me 4 wins (and PP), or 7+ wins, but PLEASE let us not finish the season on 5 or 6.

Brisbane, St Kilda and the return Melbourne game are the only ones I'm really concerned about now. It you allow for our formbook against the Saints (who are about to get some handy players back) and our record outside Melbourne of late, and it all comes down to round 22 in my book. And that's before a caretaker coach comes in with a license to play skinny kids for 4 quarters ...

In the part of my brain that is purely devoted to fantasy, I honestly think that the players have decided to tank not to hold on to PP but because they know what Dick has said about 10 or 11 wins for DP and they seriously are worrind that their form leading into the mid season break was going to result in DP continuing in 08.

Hence my belief that our last 3 losses have been meticulously planned by the playing group with no consultation from the MC.

Guys, you all know where I stand on this issue, but if we win another game this year, we are the biggest flowers on earth.

1. We cannot make the finals.
2. Richmond won't overtake us so won't finish last.
3. We get pick 1 & 3 (Kruezer & Selwood?) & top2 PSD pick

After 5 years of hell, right now at this stage, a couple more months of hell won't do anything to us, as long as we tell the kids our plan and keep them good and happy moving into 2008 and onwards. Then I can live with this now.
