Hey guys, wondering if you could help me with a quick question.

I am planning a trip to Perth for the Round 13 clash with Fremantle, and was wondering a) when tickets usually come on sale, and b) if there is any deal for Carlton members.

With Fremantle's membership nudging 40k, I want to make sure that I am able to buy a public ticket before I book any flights/accommodation.

As some of you have probably done a similar trip, your input is gladly appreciated. ;)

P.S. mods if this is in the wrong section, please move.

Freo tickets go on sale 2 weeks prior to the game (Mondays, 9am WA time).
I never have any trouble whatsoever getting tickets for Freo and Carlton games (and I live in Perth)...actually if there is any eastern state teams that I want to see I know that I'll be able to get tickets against Freo compared to eagles. And with that said, I was able to get tickets to carlton and eagles no worries whatsoever on Monday.
Hope that helps, if you have any other questions let me know

A section of the ground is allocated to the away team - its only a small section behind the goals at one end.

Us interstate members here in perth normally get sent a form to book for the pre game function and to book seats about 3 weeks to a month before the game, these seats go fast !!! I sent my form in last week and missed out on tickets to the game :(

Your best bet is to probably call the club direct and maybe put yourself on a list of some sort if possible.

Its hard to buy walk up tickets to any game here in perth cos subiaco is so small and the the clubs memberships are so high - usually the dreg seats you can buy arent worth it and your better of watching the game at a pub.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I looked at the seating chart for Subiaco, and I think I'll just buy myself a more expensive ticket, as the cheaper ones you refer to grrofunger aren't in the spots I generally like to sit.

As long as I'm prompt when they come on sale, I guess I'll have no trouble buying one on the net the day they come out.

Bring on Round 13 (and Round 4 for you guys), :-D

Yeah when I've been in the past I've just bought tickets either at the ground or before the game. Away seats are generally rubbish.

Good ground to watch footy at, Subi.

Blocks 341 and 141 from memory are the areas given to carlton by the eagles/dockers when you purchase tickets through the club.

Not sure what time the Dockers game is but if its an afternoon game - try and sit on the Subiaco road side as the sun sets over there - If you sit on the roberts road side - even behind the goals at the end i mentioned above you get the afternoon sun in your face and its quite blinding

I just bought my tickets for the WC game today although i can say they were running out... they are usually all sold out after 2 days I have missed out in the past

Docker games have been a different kettle of fish although it does seem as though the bandwagon is full and with their membership numbers you're actually competing with other carlton supporters to get tickets which is a shame we REALLY need a new BIGGER stadium

So yeah just buy them 2 weeks before the game otherwise you could get function tickets (though they sell out too) which are actually good value for lunch game transport maybe meet the players

Carn the blues next week!
