Solace – who wants it? No one! Well…if you are offering it – OK! Let’s think about the bright spots despite a pummelling at the hands of the Cats - Walker, Gibbs and Murphy – each performing admirably in a wonderful sign of the future. The young champs are coming through very nicely, and none more so than Andy Walker and the drive he is providing off half-back to the Carlton Football Club.Mike & Dan caught up with Walker whilst he was finishing his ‘target’ tapes for the upcoming game against the Bombers.
This week’s Play of the Week came down to your goal in the third quarter – a long streaming run out of defence, pass to Ackland on the 50 and receive and launch through the sticks. Nice. [/i].

A quality player and at 20 yo will only get better

Great to see him get some time in the midfield. His early apprenticeship has paid off well - he can defend well but is now learning to get heaps of the ball and run riot! Also good to see that whilst he still makes some clangers by foot, it is much less than previously and in fact, is by % probably one of the best in the team!

Interesting to note also that Wells is a similar player, both picked #2 and Wells is far off the mark cf AW AFAIC

Go AW!

Is probably leading our B&F at the moment (be it only two rounds), but he is growing in stature and is becoming the new 'Kouta' circa 1995.

A quality kid who was the first building block in re-building the Carlton Football Club.

On sheer timing, Kade Simpson might challenge that

my favourite player, i think we forget he is still only 20 and we have expected to much from him, this kid will play 300 games for us and we are lucky to have him. His disposal has improved 10 fold and he tries his absolute guts out, hes great

My pick? I’d say Ross Young – there’s a spot available now and he keeps on playing well for the Bullants.

I think this is the interesting bit - who's spot is he talking about? Grigg's? If so, has someone been told that they're not in the team this week?

My guess is he means a spot on the senior list available, ie a rookie can now be promoted and he thinks it should be Young.
