Welcome to 'Einstein on the Wing' a new contributor to the Official CFC site.

http://carltonfc.com.au/Season2007/News ... wsId=40478

I used to read Einstein's column religiously when I lived in the inner city.

Great to have another contributor on board! :-D

Bit surprised he got the Whitnall brother stuff through the censor. I suppose it's a whole new day at Carlton town.

Me too, but that is good.

Might mean that the Buzz boys will attempt a bit more 'blue' material this year!

On the Wing with Wacker - ah that takes me back.

I think I have a copy of the Melbourne Times and his summary of our 1979 Grand Final win somewhere. 8)

This'll make danny earn his keep. :P 8)

Great to have this bloke back, used to love his articles. Noticed he referred to the 'paper tigers' - I first saw him use this in about 94 & have been shamelessly plagiarising it ever since 8)

Kouta da boota, Earl the pearl, etc

And Essendon* - 'who wear the hideous colours of the Nazis'

Re Wacker - had the pleasure of watching a match at PP on the wing with his son & mates one day in 98. He was an intense supporter, in that intense kind of way

I used to look forward to the the skull cap award after each week in TMT - never necessarily the BOG, moreso un unsung hero - in fine style einstein gave it to Setanta.

Is Terry Maher any relation to Andy Maher? I know Andy is a huge Carlton fan.

Also I was a bit surprised he got the Whitnall thing through too, but the club did put a disclaimer at the bottom and he did not really say anything mean about him. I think that in this day and age we are so used to being nannied that we have a collective social reaction when we read something that we think could possibly offend someone else. A classic case of oversensitivity.

Still, it was a fun read. Hope it keeps up.

well, hello digs and bluebells, the world is finally returned to normal and Einstein (read wacker) has returned and this time to the CFC:

Are the Blues flattering to deceive again this year?

I spent many years inhaling 'wacker on the wing' in TMT (the Melbourne Times) and then 'Einstein on the wing' his younger, smarter (?) prodigy. It took at least half the yyear to work out who was who amongst the new kids, but when it fell into place, the truth was revealed.

King Dick, has pulled off another one.

He has brought the bard (apologies to dannyboy) back home

Delicious.....
