Ok...watching the 7:30 report...see some polie being interviewed with a Claremont jumper (Navy Blue and yellow) behind him, but instead of te "old style" CFC logo it's definitely a Carlton monogram type.....

I thought that the CFC with points was a Carlton monogram for "God knows" how long?
Image

any thoughts?? what's the story. Annoying that we're not using the logo and now someone else is as it diminishes the CFC monogram??? :? :?

I saw that too.....

Or does Carlton have a connection with Claremont, in the same way that we do in Sydney with Campbelltown?

I have no doubt that they're authorised (although I don't know the basis), because the AFL owns all the trade marks to everything to do with the AFL.

Going by pictures in a summary on Full Points Footy, they seem to have alternated between a gold CFC, and a gold sash a couple of times during their history.

Another thing I noticed from the top pic: You think we have it bad with sponsors' logos on the jumpers, check the Claremont ones.

I'd missed this thread until now, the gold coloured CFC looks pretty good really.

Might be nice for a one off for our 150th in 2014 ... nothing like planning ahead!
