Deep into the last quarter saw the new Carlton on Sunday on AFL members wing Carrazzo with the ball - no tiger near him -bouncing ball in one spot -Murphy on one side telling him to settle and would let him know when he was hot -Stevens on the other side also advising /counselling telling him when he was hot and if no sensible short option bang it into the 50 along the line - 20 seconds later Murph tells him hes hot Tiger close by - Andrew cooly bangs it 45-50 meters down the line inside to our 50 meters -Blues run down the clock by 30 seconds in a tight game 8)
Wouldnt have happened 2 years ago - the dawning of a new age
By the way did I mention at all that I hate the Tigers . :-D

i remember lance doing something similar on the exact same patch of grass a few years ago against the bombers.....it was good to see Carraz take his time and not rush a decision with the game on the line....

After watching the Dawks, Bombers, Tigers etc over the past few years, waste time kicking backwards, holding possession and running down the clock protecting their lead, I often wondered if we would ever be in a position to pay the fookers back with their own treatment!

The day has arrived when we can come from behind and roll some of these poxy mobs that have served it to us recently. Even better, now we can get a good lead and stem the tide with confidence. We are on the way up. :-D

Anybody who thinks the NAB Cup is a useless preseason practice match schedule, pulls their pud! Take Bryce Gibbs as one example. He has come out of the inferior SANFL comp and been asked to step up to AFL whilst still a skinny kid because he is the #1 Draft pick and expectations are huge. The invaluable lesson he has now learnt from playing every game to date will stand him in good stead for the season. Remember the 4 points are irrelevant to these kids. Everytime they are selected and pull on the jumper they are gunna try their guts out for that famous strip. It don't matter to them whether its a NAB game or a fixture. They wanna do well and they wanna win. Gibbo has now played in 5 consecutive wins. Infuckinvaluable!!! 8)

That's excellent stuff to hear. We're doing the little things right. Get the little things right and the big things (called WINS) will follow. :-D
