Did I hear Denis right............ Thornton could be back this week...... I hope it's not another "Livo/Walker To Play" statement! If it's true - look out Dockers! |

If he comes back, lets just hope he is 100% and we don't take any chances. Subi like TD is not the ideal surface if not 100%. I have faith in Pagan though but feel this is just a smoke screen. More likely be back next week against Hawthorn. |

with surrey on this the travel, the harder ground, think he pagan is just having a lend of us. would far prefer him to wait the extra week and play a first up against the dawks. |

Has anyone seen him at training? What about Prenda? I saw Campo at Glenelg on Sunday and apart from some bruising he looked fine. I reckon he might get back. |

What's the point of bringing him back on the hardest surface in the comp? Surrey, I'm with ya too - hold him back. Give him a run in the magoos if ya have too. |

If he's fit - the bring him back! I wouldn't be giving him a run in the two's - rather the hard surface at Subi than a dodgy surface in the VFL! |

I agree...I have faith in both Denis and Bret that if he plays he will be 100% fit...Denis knows just how important he is to us (look at the past few weeks) and wont rush him back just so he can re-injure himself.. |

I went to training, only a light session today. Thornton did everything, Prenda did laps, Kouta off early but nothing wrong. My bet is at the very least Thornton will be named at CHB and then we will have to wait and see. He has been out for 6 weeks since his injury so it is within the time frame. |

On carltonfc.com under injuries (which is dated 11th April)it has Thornton listed at another 4weeks. |

The problem with the ground at subi is that they use a different grass a much thicker coarser grass than Victoria, SA, Sydney and queensland. The ground aint hard at all the problem is with the actual grass. |

I can understand everyones concern but either way he will be returning to a hard surface. Whether it be the hard surface of Subi or the hard surface of the Dome, T-Bird will return. |

Then if it's on the Website that he's 4 weeks away chances are that he played last week under a pseudonym. When will they get it right? |

He is ready and raring to go. All it needs is the nod from the doctor . Bret is not the sort of player you hold back. |

"Clean your room son and we'll go to the beach" "Great dad"..... ... "Dad I've finished" "Well I don't think we can go now" **************************************** Doesn't happen guys. You do the work (rehab), you do the tests (and pass) you get rewarded..if he's right, he'll go....remember Kouta with the matress a couple of years ago at TD against Melbourne..... (Mind you I shat myself the whole time whe was on the park) |

If hes fit, play him, coz Pavlich gotta belting from Rob Walls in tomorrows paper, which will fire him up, Thornton will go in the deep end straight away. That will test him out. |

If you got tomorrows paper, can I have the lotto results. Let him play the 2nd 1/2 of each quater for the Bullants. He's too important a player to the club to rush back prematurely. |

I'm a bit nervous about Bret's return too ... but I trust Denis, he, of all people, knows how important Tbird is to our future and won't take any unnecessary risks. |
