Hi there

Does anyone knoe if I need to pay to get the audio of games in the USA or can I just stream it through normal radio stations?

Not quite sure on this but I believe last season you couldn't just stream AFL matches through the usual radio stations. That was definitely the case with Triple M anyway.

I think you can stream for free on afl.com.au. Also I think Sentanta Sports will be taking quite a number of games live and delayed on PAY TV into US

Thanks guys - unfortunately I only have cable so can't get Setanta - I'm hoping one of the local English / Irish pubs might show it

Over the past few weeks getting the live radio stream has been problematic to say the least for those of us living out of Australia. The normal links to the radio stations cease prior to the match starting and then the links are supposed to be available on line through the AFL website. However they are not showing up at all. Fellow TC'ers have been brilliant in supplying the links once the game has started. I have written to the AFL about this, but there has been no reply as yet.

As far as tv is concerned, we get excellent coverage here in China through the Australia Network satellite which is focussed on the Asia region so may not be available in the USA.

Best of luck

Bunks u can get live radio feed thru the reg radio stations (aka mmm 3aw ) and some of the espn channels cover the games. Personally i go big pond so i can watch the games after a 24 hr delay. however the quality of that service is very avg.

You can't do this in China as the regular links drop out pre game.

Thanks a lot guys - really appreciate your feedback. Hopefully the streaming in the US may be a bit better than in China!

If you want to listen to the game, you need to log onto this as well, because the afl website, for some reason, doesn't allow for streaming outside Aus .. But one of us will post the links here under the Game Day Thread, which you can open with your media player.

But if you have a Mac, you have a problem, because many of the links are for PC only .. if only someone with a Mac would post those URLs as well (Electric Blue is on Xmas Island with his Mac and couldn't listen the other night coz no one else had a Mac)

Anyway, good luck ..

At this stage it looks like Setanta (the network, not the player) will play 3 TV games per week and a weekly highlights package. Not confirmed whether this will go into the US yet but seems likely. Check their website or I will post when it's all sorted. (If it isn't already...)
