Which brings me to an interesting question regarding this highlighted iin red....
As digital slr cameras have become more obtainable to most budgets these days what exactly does class as Professional Camera?
is just a 6meg digital compact camera for example
or can you have something like a nikon D80 digital slr
Where do they draw the line what is and isnt a professional camera
cheers

I wouldn't be too worried over the digital camera issue and bringing it inside the ground. I attended the Robbie Williams concert at the Dome several months back and that specified that no professional cameras were allowed. However a girl had a fairly large lens on her SLR and was happily snapping away.
I also think that the security checks on baggage is a joke at Telstra Dome and also the MCG. I arrive at the ground with my backpack and have it already open for them - they have one quick look inside (and this is even before the crowd rush closer to the game) and then say you are right to go. Not to alarm anyone but it would be rather easy to smuggle anything you want into the ground and they would not even KNOW.
Many times I have taken my own food and drinks into the ground, it is slowly becoming tradition that I grab a large Nando's chips and head into the ground with them....
All the best to those of you that will be taking photos or trying to get certain items past the "highly skilled" security staff. I will take a few myself and might even do some video as my Sony CyberShot Camera is able to capture. By the way for the sake of it - my camera is a Sony CyberShot 8.1 megapixel.
