Why cant we ever play a team that is coasting.

Every game this year we have played a team that has got an absoulte pasting in the media a week before we play them.

Here is goes again.

Well...Port were being slammed by the media....it didn't really help them after the first qtr or so, did it?

If Freo are for real, then the media attention will help them. If they are pretenders, then the same thing will happen, they'll fire out of the blocks, but Denis' matchups will eventually swing the match in our favour.

I'm feeling pretty good about the match actually.

If teams are relying on the media to give them an extra spark, then it doesn't say much about the team nor the coach.

No one should need to be concerned about what the media says!

I mean really, what the @#%$! do they know anyway!?!

If the 22 players on the paddock already have that hunger and desire to succeed then they'll get the job done!

All thats needed is to put all your energy into the job at hand and not think about the other teams problems.

Why waste your time worrying over what you can't control?!?

GO BLUES

Precisely.

And add to that we actually have a pretty good track record at Subi, and I think the wider spaces will suit us pretty well with Fitnall, Chamber, T-Lo etc roaming for the kill.

Bring it on I say! :D I would actually prefer that teams come out firing against us- it's a good test for our young side and can only assist their long-term development.

Let's see who performs well when the heat is on!!

For the same reason, I'm not one of those that is necessarily pleased when a key player from the opposition is injured when we play them. I would rather we play them at full strength as this would give a truer indication of how we're really travelling and where we stand compared to the rest of the competition.

We're a young, developing side. Let's sort out the wheat from the chaff and see which of our young players can stand the heat in the kitchen. It's the only way we can see whether they are up to the standards required or merely just making up the numbers.
