Anyone have any idea how to get tickets?
What the cost will be?
AFL Members are we a different breed? Do we just scan or what?

Public Holiday tomorrow need to get things organised.

That rumble you hear are the noises being made by the Hungry Beast waking up from a slumber.

It's been waking up for a few years now and hopefully wont drop off again

Try getting a plane ticket first as the game most likely will be played in Brisbane or Carrara

Um why do you say that? As far as I'm concerned, the game will be played in Melbourne as we kicked more goals than Brisbane during the first 3 games.

Read the Herald-Sun & listen to SEN, it is likely the game will be in QLD regardless of the "most goals"

The AFL has yet to confirm the match will be at Telstra Dome as of this afternoon which tells you they are checking up on the availability/quality of the Gabba after the cricket season

So the AFL are just going to change the rules like that?
We have kicked more goals! Why even the cosideration of a change of venue? Is the Dome out of action or something?

The Grand Prix and World Swimming Championships are on in Melbourne next weekend.

There was some concern over the Lions being able to get accomodation.

Why would we play the game in Brisbane then? Why not Perth, Sydney or Tasmania?

I would not be surprised if they screw us over

We earned the final, we should be able to play the final here

In front of how many people?

I know we have fans in all those states, but Brisbane probably don't have a lot.

You'd think the AFL might have assumed a Melbourne based club might actually host the game and have arranged a hotel in advance. Assume nothing that involves a corrupt lot like them I guess.

That argument is absolute cr*%p. They are just making excuses. If they do change the venue of the game I hope Carlton and other clubs make object extremely strongly.

Good point, I didn't think of it like that.

We would get 40-50K at the Dome at Carrara we might get 20-25K. It's our home game as well so we will be losing massive $$$'s through ticket sales???

If Smorgan was prez then they would most likely screw us over.

Pratt equels a no go zone... 8)

I think we are still in yesterprez mode.

The AFL takes all the gate revenue from the NAB Cup regardless where it is played

thats true....but if the game is played in Melb....we sell more merchandise (which the AFL PREVENTS us from selling merchandise in Brisbane) and also memberships...

especially knowing there will be potentially 40 thousand + carlton fans there....

Fox Sports News has just stated that the AFL has put on hold any announcement of the Grand Final venue till tomorrow with AFL ground manager Jill Lindsay visiting the Gabba today to check it's condition with Carrara put on standby should the AFL decide to play the game in QLD

ABSOLUTE %$#@ING CRAP

Why would the AFL schedule the %$#@ing grand final on the same weekend if this was going to be a concern.

BRISBANE CAN FORFEIT THE %$#@ING GAME IF THEY CAN'T GET ACCOMODATION. %$#@ 'EM.

%$#@ing ridiculous. The AFL will stop short of any horseshit excuse to take away any advantage to the Carlton footy club.
