Never gave up - inspirational comeback

Hartlett not only replaced Kennedy, but did enough to warrant keeping his place in the side - we have GENUINE competition for spots now.

Never stopped running, and ran all over the top of the supposedly fitter Roos.

Backline starting to look really settled.

Fev had a dirty night and kicked 8

Cameron Cloke has done ten times what Chris Bryan ever did or ever will do :-D

Murphy is an erection-causing machine

Midfield "lesser-lights" in Carrazzo and Bentick stepped up - our rotations are starting to look reasonably competitive

There's still plenty of quality waiting in the wings for their opportunity

I'm still hard!!!

Chris Scott during SEN's call said it all - "I was pretty upset that we (Lions) weren't able to get him up here, but after seeing him tonight I am now really depressed!"

For mine, the biggest positive tonight was Adam Hartlett!
Showed his has got what it takes to make it!

The other positive is that our top "20" draft picks, apart from Murphy - how good is this kid going to be :-D - is that they have little impact on our games. You would hope there is plenty still to come from the likes of Kennedy, Hartlett, Bower, Gibbs, Russell etc ..

Gee it's exciting, let the juggernaut awake.

Betts playing mid and getting clearences or first touch. Also great defensive pressure, he's like a pin-ball machine, running from one opposition player to the next.

Murphy...

Stevo's "cherry on top" and dare I say, "Captain's" goal.

Decision making from halfway into the third quarter. We were faultless.

Loved the little touches of absolute class from Gibbsy.

Cameron Clokes 2nd & 3rd efforts.

Leadership shown from Murph. Our unofficial Captain.

Harts getting through the game well. Looks a very likely type.

Fish as our 3rd or 4th 'tall' forward will be very dangerous.

Fev is a freak.

d) ALL OF THE ABOVE!
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Fought back from a hefty deficit to not just drop over the line, but win convincingly. In the past, once we were 3-4 goals down, we would shut up shop.

I know the Roos are going to be contenders to hold up the rest of the ladder, but they were pretty much full strength, and we came back and beat them.

Smiling!! :-D :-D :-D

Yep all of the above and Carlos and Waite in defence. We look so much better down back.

Bower's Vinny Cattogio impression was a real positive.

The defence - yet again - was the biggest positive for me, closely followed by the form of Hartlett and Cloke.

When Gibbs got the ball in the first few minutes to kick our first point. He got the cherry and went on a slalom run, using north players as witches hats - that was a great show of potential indeed!

I'm watching the second half now.

I'm loving Santy's passion! A couple of soft (but valid) frees against him, and he went berko! Love it!

my positives i saw were:

Cain Ackland providing very handy presence around the ground, he has done so all wizard cup.

Matty Lappin was solid as a rock in defence

That Gibbs boy pulled off a difficult half volley which would shame the best of them..
Fev had a dirty night and kicked 8
^^ditto^^

Adam Hartlett getting a game, and taking a few opportunities, god he's a good size for AFL.

Bentick, Houlihan, and Betts at least for a week shrugging off any 'fringe player' tags that are constantly branded upon them.

then my fav...Waite and O'Hailpin....last week Waite gave Franklin (emerging superstar) a bath...and this week O'Hailpin gave Thompson (established elite forward) a bath...can someone smell stability down back?

Nic

10 goals on the trot. Long time since we've really dominated a team on the scoreboard like that.

And the commentators mentioned that we had 8 players under 20. How good is that for the future. :-D

Bentick was awesome. Anyone who thinks he doesn't deserve his spot in the side has got rocks in their scons.

He extracts the ball, stands up in tackles yet bring oppostion players down like animals. He feeds the outside mid fielders and makes them look good.

Best thing was we started to make the Roos pay for their mistakes. Fisher, Betts, Murphy - all brilliant in finsihing during the second half.

The handballing! I think Gerald Healy said that we handballed too much, but I think they are fantastic, we haven't done this type of play with Pagan, we handballed out of trouble and we handballed to a player that has the least pressure. In the past few years we would just kick under pressure but now we are able to do a more effective foot pass to team mates.

I love seeing the damage Betts can do when played as a crumber, rather than trying to play him as a midfielder.

Fev and Betts. A partnership right up there with Lillee and Thommo in a few years?

I agree with pretty much all of what bnz said. It was a good win, but when we played badly, we were very poor,
