Well Jonathan Brown will probably play - who gets the gig?

The AFL will be happy, at least we may get 40,000 to the game if we are lucky.

So...me and several mates plan to goto the game, interested in whether we will need to pre-book tickets?

I don't really think i have ever had to pre-book tickets as i have always had a membership and just been able to walk in. Plus i only really got into the footy in about 2000 so we haven't really had that many sell-outs.

No ghosts of 2005 for Pagan

How do you (value a final) for Bryce Gibbs, Marc Murphy, for Adam Harford, for a lot of those boys who have probably not played in these sort of games. They are probably worth four or five home-and-away games.

I'd play Waite on Brown. Get him to run off at every opportunity.

Really depends on whether Brown plays CHF or FF.

Waite should play on the CHF and Santy on the FF. Don't worry about what the opposition are doing, lets worry about our structure and what we're doing.

Yeah fair point.

Thought last night we did a great job of allowing Waite to be creative and run off his man.

Gees things are looking up :-D

He looked awesome Deano, that run along the boundary with 4 bounces, taking guys on, just needed to settle a little and kick before he ran out of options.

I'd love to see him running off Brown, but playing on Hall in Round 22 was almost a turning point for Setanta, imagine the confidence boost if he could do the same to Brown.

Seriously, how good is it being able to talk about our backline as a positive rather than the old "gees I hope our boys can break even we might be able to sneak a win".

We are going to SCARE THE SHIT out of some of the more fancied teams this year.

Another year where the kids get to play with each other and harden up their bodies as well as improve their core strength and it will all really start clicking.

Now to drop Lance for Kennedy,.....

He was resting..... the game was abit quick for poor Lance and his concrete feet.

The problem we have is you cannot play Lance and Kouta as well as Cloke in the game at the same time.
Now Cloke is starring because he is a bulldozer and he is playing with remarkable energy. He is fit and has worked on that aspect of himself and he is a ruckman.
Kouta is abit hit n miss but the Dancing with the Stars thinggy has reinvigorated him where he looks interested and he competes.
Lance is slow slow slow slow slow .. and his body isnt fit enough to compete in a game thats evolving away from him and has been for the last 5 years.
If Lance is unfit at this stage its an indictment on him as he will find the season long and hard as it goes on.
If he isnt fit now... he will cop it more as the season moves on.

Terrible match committee decision to make him captain.
Terrible football dept decision to not trade him when we knew what the game was evolving into.
Maybe not.

But hopefully when Stephen Icke comes in as Footy Dept Boss he can help make decisions without being influenced by the lala landers ...
