I still reckon it should be the :(tjones:( for pieces of incorrect, insipid or appalling journalism. Save the :garthp: for matters of appalling trolling.

Don't devalue :garthp:

he was such a tosspot.

I've got another nomination...................

Taken from this weeks issue of Inside Football. Ex Port Adelaide midfielder Josh Francou has an article in which he rates each teams midfield. We're ranked 14th. No big deal............but check this out for a quote........................

"Carlton has the most inexperienced midfield in the competition" - yeah good one genius! But that's not the worst part............read on.............
"The time has come for the likes of Murphy, Simpson & Carrazzo to put their hands up and deliver.............."

I'm sorry.....................The time has come for Murphy to deliver? You do understand he's played just 13 games you f***king Tool?

The time has come for you to shut the f**k up!

Seriously, what a tool.

I was listening in the car to Mark Robinson on SEN's AFL Round preview.

Doug Hawkins and KB and others were very impressed with Carlton the other night......Robinson asked "I don't know so much....who did they beat?" etc etc..

He is pathetic......and an Essendon* supporter.

To be fair, a lot of Carlton supporters (myself included, as well as many others on this site) reckon MM is one of the key men in the midfield already. If he struggles, there's a lot of class to make up.

To be perfectly honest, I was more amazed that they nominated Bentick as the 'Designated Stopper' ahead of Russell and that Bannister was in the rotations...

I love this piece of "journalism" by Greg Baum in the print version of today's Age.

At half time, Bryce Gibbs gave him a salutation, remembering that they were opponents in the SANFL last year.

Varcoe will have had harder games last year against Glenelg.

The Cats’ first pick in the 2005 NAB AFL Draft spent last season developing in the VFL after a delayed start to the year with a foot injury. Played 15 games in the VFL, including the Grand Final, and produced flashes of brilliance that will have Geelong fans excited. Missed some games at the end of the season with a quad injury and will be a player to watch this year.

One of the funniest moments on this site (or was it the old Blue View?) was when Garth P and another St Kilda supporter were getting into each other. Didn't have the decency to do it on their own site but maybe Garth P was banned from the StK one at the time

That is pure flower crap and a figment of your vivid imagination.

Also, i have never been banned from saintsational as I have never been a member. Most of the posts on this thread are pure rubbish.

I used the rolling eyes emoticon on a few of the endless threads denigrating Hamill and also on those about BJ "coming home", as they were well deserved.

Someone in authority got pissed about it and changed my access so that when I used that emoticon, it came up with my nick.

Eventually, it was added as an emoticon. i can take a joke, and it is no skin off my nose, so to speak.

End of story. :garthp:
