I hope that useless Malouf is gone, QUICKLY...............

Somehow it does not seem like it will happen anytime soon.........

He should of been the first one gone........... Hopeless.............

Who does everyone prefer ? Is Stephen Icke any good ?

Don't stress about malouf.

You don't fill your CEO position in a hurry, and you certainly don't sack someone and leave it vacant while you conduct your search.

In the interim, we'll just have to be satisfied that malouf's responsibilities are being diminished, given that player contracts are being taken (quite rightly - he proved last year he's shit at it) out of his hands.

He's more a "Flake" than a Cherry Ripe.

This is a first time post

I have a bit to do with footy media people, players and officials, so perhaps I can throw some light on Carlton issues from time to time.

Re Carlton Football Operations role, Stephen Icke is highly respected for the way he has kept the Dockers playing group together over the last few years while also fitting Tarrant and Solomon under the cap. He is keen to return to Melbourne.

Other candidates, some of high quality have balked at the job, for a few reasons. The perception that there are still some organisational changes to come at Carlton, maybe CEO and / or coach. Also, there is a view that Pagan is not the easist of coaches to work with. The Barry Mitchell thing is also seen as a problem. If you want to keep a happy playing group and therefore have the best possible environment for negotiating new contracts, you dont need the senior coach and the VFL coach at odds.

If he's responsible for getting Dean Solomon to Freo, maybe he is not as smart as people are giving him credit for...

Why will it be any different? He's chairman of the match committee. This will be a full time football operations manager.
