Ah...what memories. This Game Review, completed by thehalford (from memory), should excite you no end.

Miles Wilks, a part time author for carltonfc.com.au, completed a great article some time ago on Carlton's best win over the Bombers. In the article he compared the 1947 GF to the 1999 PF for additional spine-tingling memories.

Miles has OK'd the addition of the article to the Blueseum but I'd like a picture of this great day to accompany the article. I cant find one on Blueseum or Google. Do any of you have any, or know how to extract one?

Something of Murphy's glee, or Doggy's rippling biceps across Wallis's torso?

Thanks kingkerna. It's now up as the picture for the 4th article on the Blueseum homepage!

www.blueseum.org

If anyone has additional pics, please feel free to add them to the Image Gallery (the game has its own gallery) or PM myself or Jarusa, who can do it for you.

:-D While it is a great memory I sometimes think that like the 90 GF for Colliwobbles the 99 prelim provided a satisfaction for the club that created a false sense of where it was at. We should erase 99 Prelim from our memories...

Another question what would people rank (other than 99 prelim) as Carltons greatest NON GF victory?

I might have a couple of pics without tags at home - I'll check it out tonight.

For me it's the 1998 game against Adelaide at Football Park :)

Here's what I've got - I've sourced these from various spots over the years so I'm not quite sure of the legality thing.

Thanks all.

Jarusa - Getty Images have the tie-in with the Club don't they. Have we cleared use of their pics with Carlton Comms in the past?

No. That will be one of the many benefits of the club owning the site though. Pics from Getty will be available.

I have the game on Vhs tape. I have just put it on to a HDD and am editing out the ads. Then to DVD.
Can get some pics off that. They wont be same quality as those shown of course.
Interesting watching it again. Koutas mark in the last quarter in the goal square.
What a pity we dint go on with it on G/F day.
17th Premership, and the only team to win from 6th place. That would take some catching.

Just looking over the 1999 Preliminary Final squad and noticed that the one and only Brendan Fevola was named as an emergency for that game... never really knew that!

That's about all... :P
