So...we make the semi finals and seems likely we will be playing interstate next weekend.

Oh look, it appears we aren't going to be on free to air television too.

What is the point of a pre-season competition - that is run purely for advertising and television exposure - if it doesn't actually get played on television???

I'm starting to HATE Foxtel more and more everyday...

Not according to the TV guide.

You think the games have been on Foxtel the last two weeks?

Fox Sports would show the games if they were allowed to. FFS, they just re-imbursed the pig-headed Ch7 for over a third of the 5-year agreement.

With the exception of Ch9, the FTA networks are shit-scared of Foxtel because they offer so much more than they could ever dream of. They will continue to stockpile all of your favourite shows and sporting events because without them, Foxtel can't build on their subscriptions.

At least Channel 9 permitted Foxtel to broadcast the Friday night fixture live via their digital network. Channel 7 are still bitter over their piss-weak C7 venture and Channel 10 are too busy riding coat-tails.

Yeah, Free to Air TV is so much better than Foxtel, Channel 10's 'early' replay let me get to bed at 1:30am instead of waiting up to 2am for Foxtel's replay to finish!

FTA is the root of all evil.

You get what you pay for - pay nothing, get nothing.

The AFL have pandered to FTA for too long - the FTA channels would soon enough get off their arses and do something about showing footy instead of pissweak Billy Zane movies if we had concurrent broadcast deals between FTA and pay TV - ie, BOTH have the rights to show live matches, and have to compete for the viewer.

I hate FTA, and only watch it under duress - cable is so much better it's ridiculous.
