It is a good article.

There is a lot of bleating going on about Walls as a commentator, but I have him at number 1. (And that is with my Carlton hat off) Last night he analysed the Hawks forward line structure - the four forwards. Can you name one other present day commentator that gives that type of analysis.... I can't.

I can't go past the Dwayne Russell, Brian Taylor combo myself. Witty, Intelligent, insightful silken voice tones, what more could you want?

I really enjoy Wallsy in any game.

I have to say that last night I got the distinct impression that he new face of special comments emerged and his name is Voss.

Am I being a little optimistic in saying I detected a hint of admiration in Vossy's voice towards the younger Carlton players? Hopefully we get this guy to the Club next year.

I think its a distinct possibility that Voss will be in the Assistant Coaches market next season given his performance as a special comments man at this early stage is only marginally better than SOS's. :P

I think that the public speaking portion of special comments is holding back that portion of the coverage across the board. Really shits me to hear the same idiots over and over giving rubbish and getting paid for it.

At least Malcolm Blight has whipped Ten's lot into shape.

Would love to see Wallsy as an assistant coach guiding Ratts as the senior coach.

My only criticism of Walls is that he changes his mind retrospectively quite a lot.

But in 'here and now' game commentary he's pretty astute.

I reckon as Carlton supporters we've grown to hate all commentators over the past 4 years because - as part of their job - they point out what most of us don't like to hear.

That we're shit and play rubbish football.

Hopefully when that turns around we'll start to 'enjoy' commentators a bit more...

Only the ones that are biased and obviously carry their own agendas of hatred.

Vossy tries to hide his admiration for Murph but just can't do it. Think he sees a bit of himself in the boy. I wonder if he might be a linchpin in getting the great man to PP?

It'd be quite ironic, considering they tried to use Voss as a linchpin in getting Murphy to the Gabba!

Could be wrong on this, but I have a very strong feeling that Brett Ratten is I think going to be the next senior coach of Carlton.

Not sure who the assistant coaches are going to be though.

Denis's days are indeed numbered

He planted the seeds and has watched yong seedlings emerge. He is tending them well, and they will grow well under his care and guidance.

But he will not be the person that reaps the harvest and be assured that it will truly be be a magnificant harvest.
