There is nothing gained from dirty laundry.

The Communications Dept asked me last week to put together a 2-part interview on our new Captain. The list of questions has about 4 on Shane....guess I'll have to scrub them now!

Or perhaps modify them...'Was Shane more threatening as a footballer or as a brother?'

I don't think he did. It said in the article that he didn't want the private matter public.

How does a trip to the zoo end in death threats?

:-D

That sounds like something I'd end up involved in....

"I'm very disappointed that it's come to this. It's a private family matter that I want to stay private. This is my last resort to solve the matter."

if he feels that's it serious enough, his safety is a bit more important than stopping Carlton from getting negative media.... who gives a shit!

I know they were in his face but sheesh!

It is a terrible situation for the Whitnall family, I respect that, but.....

FAR OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a lot of ISSUES for a FOOTBALL CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything that hits a court is a matter for public record unless suppressed, which is very rare.

He could have said nothing, but that would mean the media would put their own spin.

Its sad, but I don't think its a big deal.

I nearly did once  Cracked the absolute sads with the car parking attendant. Absolutely lost my marbles. Lucky my (not yet) wife and her best friend was there otherwise it would have been nasty.

I still can't beleive how bad I got!

Fair call.

I just want to get off the merry go round.

It would be nice to worry about footy...not court.

Especially a newly appointed captain that had an altercation less the a month ago.

I hope the Whitnalls can sort it out.

Obviously the safety of your family has to take priority. You can hardly criticise Lance and his wife on this, surely...

I hope the Whitnalls are safe and well.

i am just frustrated by the media stucking pins in the Carlton voodoo doll.

I dont mean to cause grief.

Frustrated thats all.

Wouldnt it be great to have media focus on: Gibbs, Murphy and co

I agree - but the media love having a crack at us just because we are Carlton. This is why it's going to be so great when we turn things around. The off-field revival has started - we await the on-field revival...it's on the way

How good are brain snaps like that? :-D

I had one after some knobache cut me off, causing to nearly french kiss a power pole, then flipped me off for the privelege. Absolutely lost my mind and took off after him - lucky the missus was following in another car and got between the two of us and slowed me down....
