WIll be in Perth for another wedding... tossing up whether to go or not. Last time I went to Subi it was against the Eagles... Matera kicked 6 on Franchina, Judd announced himself to us by annihilating Campo, Red took 18 marks and a young Angwin kicked 2 to make the best players. Think we lost by 118?

Abit gunshy about turning up this time!

I'll be there, the last time I get to see the Navy Blues live before I leave the country :(

Where you off to Steve? Is this new news?

ps found out the game is on a Saturday, same time as the wedding...unfortunately can't pull out of the wedding, I'm singing at it a la Adam Sandler

Go to the game Molsey, I reckon you'll be singing there too.

I would play Sporn on Medhurst ..Medhurst will outmark smaller lighter players everytime and it would be a mistake to underestimate him. I would also select bannister as insurance for Pavlich...Bannister has done the job before and I reckon Pavlich will be fired up after the rocket in the media from Walls and could be a handful for Norman or Morell.

It wont be easy in Freo especially with the coach and Pavlich under the pump in the media. Sandilands and J.Longmuir are no mugs and I expect the inform French will need to continue his good form for us to get up. Josh Carr, Hasleby, Cook etc are good ball getters and I expect them to bring in Headland and Schofield to give them some more variety and run.
You would like to think that Fev and Whitnall could kick a winning score against no name defenders like Hadrill, Parker, Thornton etc....

Polak is out, Headland highly unlikely and Hadrill probably won't play.
In addition to this Freo lack that "extra" tall now that they no longer have Troy Simmons.
We can match their run in the midfield with Stevens, Campo, Walker, Chambers & McGrath.

WE SHOULD WIN THIS ONE

I'm off to Norway with my girlfriend indefinately. Will REALLY miss the footy.

I'm taking her to her first game of footy (she's Norwegian) before we leave. The Carlton blocks 341 & 342 were full, so I got 241, directly under the faithfull.

Go the Blues :)

9 Carlton 4 1 1 2 412 448 91.96 6

12 Fremantle 4 1 0 3 278 300 92.67 4

That's 134 points difference in attack, and 148 in defence. That suggests their defensive game is good, but we have the attack to beat them.

The Shockers have had a hard start to the year, playing Port, St Kilda and WCE - three of last years top 8 and each expected to go top 6 this year, in three quite dour and hard fought games. Then they played Richmond, but I can't udnerstand that one. Each of the first 3 games have been low scoring, and close, with Freo unlucky to miss out. Don't underestimate them based on the Tigers game, they are a class side, at home, and have been given a rocket.

Josh Carr is a huge plus to them. We'll need someone on him, plus Heath Black cannot be allowed like Stuart Dew to deliver freely into their F50.
