Just watched the replay on Fox Sports 1. Sadly Fox Footy will be missed for replays. Edited so much out of the coverage I think I only saw two centre bounces. So who did well for us in clearing the ball from the middle? How did our rucks go?

I just noticed this aswell, i had taped the game live on ten, however i decided to tape it on fox so that i wouldn't have the adds.

They edited a few minutes from each qtr. In the end i taped the whole game on about 1hr and 20 mins of tape......

I will never tape the replay again. Live on either ten or fox is the only way to tape people.

Maybe we should send in some e-mails?

I hope they will not follow this method into the season proper!

Yeah, I watched the Ten replay late last night (and into early this morning ;-), I thought the camera angle slection by Ten was crap compared to the shots I saw on Fox today, but Fox cut so much out it was really frustrating. At leat Ten showed the entire game.

The commentating was pretty bland and un-emotive on both (actaulyl I think it was the same commentattors perhaps?)

Yes Sinbagger, fox were using 10's call and footage but cut so much out of it that it really was an extended highlights package. Bring back FFC please!!

I just gave them a ring and was being told that it's probably because it's not a specific footy channel any more and they have to show other sports too.

I asked the guy if he could find out if they were going to do this during the season proper and he asked me who i barraked for. As soon as i said Carlton the answer was " yep I'll definetly find out for ya" lol

Turns out he was a Carlton supporter too. We had a little chat about the blues too.

He told me that they WILL NOT do this during the season proper :-D :-D :-D

So just make sure you tape'em live until then people!

It's not Fox Footy anymore but Fox Sports 1

That is the reason.

The replay went from 3pm - 4:30 pm and not only did we miss centre bounces, but bits were edited from around the ground.

At one point there was about to be a throw in closest to the camera side of the ground, and all of a sudden before the throw in I thought they had gone to a quick replay of footage to explain a piece of play, but it was actually a continuation of the game.

Anyway, hope it improves marginally.

I was half watching whilst I was heading off and was baffled by the jumps...now I know why. They better no do it in the season proper! The centre bounces are an important watch.

I haven't watched the fox version, but was amazed at how short it was.

I watched the channel 10 version this morning, and was disgusted at the amount of stuff missing from it (in QLD):

- no team lineups at the start

- too many add's after goals, sometimes 3-4 adds, and on a number of occasions when the adds finished, someone was lining up for goal!

- No Lance interview at the end, just a channel 10 logo and then nothing more.

- no players singing the song at the end either

Least fox had the music for the boys on the ground at the end and lance's interview.

If you are interested, I've given a quick review of each player and a rating in the Best Players thread.

In terms of the rucks, Cloke was surprisingly our best ruckman by a fair way. Even though he is undersized, he competed pretty well at centre bounces and resulted in us getting a few clearances. His work around the ground was also very good. Ackland seemed a bit out of sorts to me, though he did roll his ankle at last weeks intra-club and so this may be the reason he wasn't at his best.

In terms of the midfielders, Jordan Russell was outstanding in the centre square and was my surprise packet of the night. Got quite a few clearances. Stevo was also fantastic and was actually the extractor on a few occasions leading to clearances for other players, rather than just being a receiver. Had many clearances himself. Murphy was his usual self, as was Kouta. Carazzo also did a few nice things when he was given a run in there and got a few clearances too. All in all, I thought our centre square work had definitely improved from last year.

Have just looked at Fox's schedule. It looks like bad news if you don't catch the game live as it seems they have 90 minute or two hour replays for games and always late at night. Bring back the footy channel and do the job @#$%&! properly instead of selling us out.

Cloke tap to Stevens was vintage ruck work. The boy does have talent
