Over the last couple of weeks i have started thinking about players in the current Carlton team compared to players from the past.

Fisher reminds me so much of Ken Hunter.
Carrots ... Ratten.
There is something about Fev that makes me think of the Buzz.

Bentick and Ratts, not so much in phsyical appearance, but in the way they play the game. Nothing fancy, just pure G&D.

Wouldn't have had a hope of finding that out ... tried blueseum and latest player with Harry name was in 1953 with some lads in late 1800's

Then look up the "Minister for Sport and Recreation".

That's him.

Not joking...you are making me feel old mate.

Motley - Gibbs

I can see that...grew up watching Mots play for Sturt (I am a Norwood Supporter).

He was DYNOMITE!

But...his best asset was poise...never looked unsettled...similar to the one and only Gibbs.

So Cool 8)

I reckon Gibbs has disposal like Diesel though...which makes him arguably a better talent than Peter Motley...Motley burnt the ball a lttle like JR does.
