actually I think we'll have the midfield right when Stevenx is allowed to run into the open spaces and receive the ball rather than trying to do all the work and run to the spaces and not get rested.

It worked for Nathan Buckley and he is being touted as Collingwood's best ever player. Imagine if Campo played at Collingwood, they would have thought he was the best ever.

I see nothing wrong with this - Stevens would be a great choice for captain.

I'm very happy with Stevens for captain.

One of the few personable, sensible and mature players we have.

I think it's Hollywood43, Josh - most on here see Stevens as a good choice

Not a bad article at all. Very good player who had an average season. I don't really mind if it's him or Whits or both actually.

Interesting that he really wants to captain the club yet certain people have said his heart's at Collingwood...

G'day ADP :P

I remember it vividly as 5min later right infront of the Members wing, Ryan Houlihan pulled out of a 1 on 1 hip and shoulder with possibly Bizzell...half the wing stood and abused him.

its a shame he has no guts, because the boy has some talent.

I still prefer Murphy.

lets really evolve.

There is no point in adapting...we have been terrible...there is nothing good about adapting from our previous circumstance.

Time to bring out the dead.

Not something borrowed something blue! 8)

Murphy and a wind of change.

We will sell more memberships with an inspired leadership.

Voss and Murphy should sit on histories page together. All class...great leaders...multiple premierships and historic importance.

I dont want Stevens to captain our club. I dont like his attitude, i dont like the fact that he didn't even want to play here, and I think he puts himself before the club.

*edit by moderators*

I'd like Lance to get captain. Until Murphy is ready. Stevens will not make me buy a membership. I just don't like the guy - hopefully this year he will prove me wrong.

it's about passion - and he lacks it.

How many of our draft picks do you think had Carlton as their first preference club to be drafted by? Do you not like them too?

Stevens was drafted years ago. Things change over time. He may not have wanted to come to Carlton initially, but as long as he plays for the jumper now that's enough.
