I think it's a good move by the club. For too long any established player would come straight back into the team regardless of fitness or previous form.

Where do I sign?! A great idea .. then there is consistency (my theme for tonight) .. and if you were judging the return on fitness or previous form you wouldn't bring him back at all! Unless you mean previous form from a few years ago ...

Mmmmm, always wanted to see Lance in that dashing red strip. At least the grounds will be to his liking (slow).

Interesting, heard this along with a couple of other Tc'ers early this afternoon at the club. Would not be too many club captains that have had to come back through the two's.

Quite ambiguous with respect to Whitnal's future at the club.

Actually, Jarusa there have been a couple. James Clement and Nathan Buckley are the first ones that come to mind along with Vandenberg. Stephen King isn't still captain, is he?

None of those players were suspended for disciplinary reasons like our leader was

Harley is Geelong's new Captain but it's no longer taboo for a "superstar" players to come thru via ressies.

This stand by the club is long overdue.

If Ratts does get the gig as head coach, it will be interesting to see how he views players who don't put in and how he may have thought that was okay when he was playing versus players not putting in when he is now coach.

I know that when DP first came to the club, a lot of the older players thought it okay to do their weight work away from the club i.e. at home.

Which provides an even better reason that he returns via the VFL.

I reckon he'd look nifty in a Geelong jumper, hard to hide any extra inches in one of those.

Lance is finished as a footballer.
The chances of him being on any list next year is slim.
Even if he manages to stay on ... he will struggle.... anyone banking on Lance making any difference to our team when he is in... isnt much different from stKilda supporters telling us theyre missing Hamill and Gardiner.

All those blokes are gone!!

The only player that I used to bag was Luke Livingston he was affectionately known to me as "sh!t-truck".

Possibly will be able to bag Mr. Ryan Houlihan?!?

Edit: Maybe Cain Ackland too?
