Hi All, I'm new to the site, but my blood runs Blue. Haven't bought a membership since I moved to the Peninsula (and they closed Waverley), have seen probably 5 games in eight years. I will be buying a membership
in 2007, even though I may not get to a game. Not even sure how much they are, $150 or $160?, but here is my logic.....$10 for 1968, $10 for 1970, same for 72, 79, 81-82, 87, and 95. Oh, and $10 for seeing Bosustow sit Peter Welsh on his butt first game of 1981, and $10 for seeing Jimmy Buckley enlighten Robert Wiley on which internal organ was critical in getting the hard ball. $10 for seeing Jezza, Big John,Gags,Serge,Crossa,Percy,SOS,Sticks,
Buzz,the Flying Doormat,Braddles,Hunter,Diesel,Deanie etc in their prime.
$10 for Kevin Hall chipping in front of McKenna in the dying moments of the 70 GF, $10 for every game the Buzz ever played.....I think I've had value for my money. Now the Presidio is on deck, it's time for us all to get on board. There are several scores to settle, we all know who they are and where they live. It may not be this season, or the season after that, but I'm sick and tired of being angry....now I just want to get even. Let the games begin!

Good stuff Poida. I hope there's many more like you. We need every damn member we can get. If we get to 30K we should aim for 35K. If we reach that we should gun for 40K.

With some creative membership categories and similarly creative marketing I see no reason why Carlton cannot sustain a membership of over 40K.
