Setanta i've always had faith in. Big fan of this kid. Even my brother & father, who have been doubters of him for a while, are starting to come around after seeing his last half-a-dozen or so games last year.

The richmond game when he ran it out of the backline evading 3 or 4 opposition players and kicked it to a leading Carlton player setting up a kick for goal 40mtrs out made my dad's jaw drop! I remember seeing the replay of that game and James Brayshaw was amazed at the big Irishman!

But apart from Setanta....................

To anybody who hasn't yet seen his brother in action.....................try and get along to the Bullants games this year and have a peak.

I saw him do some pretty special stuff last year! Magical stuff at times!

When he plays in the reserves, Mitchell uses him of the Bench alot and rightly so too, but when his in the reserves 2nds he quite often dominates the game - ESPECIALLY in the ruck!

Sure he's kicking needs improvment and he needs to learn the flow of the game a little better but in a few years i honestly believe Aisakie will be a superstar!

Plays really well along the wing which leads me to believe he could be a ruckman / rover type player or he could just well be a fairly decent CHF or maybe even find a spot with his bro down back!

Either way. LOVE the fact we've got two VERY special Irish kids at the club! We are very lucky indeed!

We had a few people from Ireland staying with us who were huge hurling fans. I took them to training to meet the O'Halpin boys. You couldn't meet to nicer, more polite lads - they must have spoken to my guests for 50 minutes about gossip from home.

Quality.

I just want carlos to be physical and crunch a few blokes, just put the fear of god in the opposition.

If i was to give him a hit list it would be as follows:

1) Farmer
2) Lloyd
3) Didak
4) Brodie Holland
5) Milne

In the early days, when Setanta first came, I wasnt sure that he would make it.

But this man has a formidable determination and desire to succeed.

the future at Carlton is very exciting for Setanta and also for his brother.

haha! Nice one....................

It's funny you should say that thou cause i watch Luey about half a dozen times last year on ABC 2 and the biggest stand out that i could see was that for a tall guy, he isn't gangly & off-balanced like most tall guys can be.

Does that make any sense? Probably not.

Luey seemed to play like he was a 5'9" midfielder in the body of a 6'7" ruckman?

Aisakie is the same it seems. Not of-balanced like a lot of tall ruckman can be.

(jeez, i have no idea if the above made any sense at all! :? )

givent he way they lined up at the intra club it looks like setanta is being groomed for the full back line along with thornton.

With the possibility of Paddy being given the bigger forwards, or the number one forward, this free's t-bird up to play a more running and attacking brand of footy which he is quite adept at.

a great move, and we also have the possibility, due to his agility and speed of using setanta on the premier CHF's going around, from Riewoldt to Tredrea/Cornes, to J Brown. Which will hurt opposition clubs as he will have the ability to run off every single one of them and create play.
