I would have suggested the same Molsley.

I think one of the presenters on Sports Today (3AW) last night said it related to the captaincy......anouncement was probably brought forward to change the news cycle.

Maybe co captains???? Whitnall & Walker perhaps???

No idea. I get skerricks and pass them on...

Given yesterday's infuriating developments, it wouldnt surprise me if they also wanted to make another positive announcement.

Also there will be interviews with Bower and Austin up this week. Although these sorts of things tend to get overshadowed when we're in the press for other reasons.

I thought they said it was a European company?

Great news. Good decision too, if you think about it - new company (much like Indesit), sponsoring a sleeping giant who just happen to be in the press 3 times a week.

Wonder if the Royal Princess had a hand in luring this sponsor to the club she dearly supports

A sign of things to come...

A lot of people seem to think that the club is putting all its eggs into the one basket (Redevelopment), which is simply not the case.
This sponsorship comes at a time when the club is at its least attractive state. With that in mind, think about what can be generated when things get a little bit more rosey down royal parade way.

The Redevelopment - which admittedly could be a fantastic source of revenue for the club in years to come - is NOT the be all and end all right now. Sponsorships, Corporate support and increased membership are the immediate ways to turn our club around and to think that those in charge are unaware of that would be foolish.

What is best for our club right now is to get these elections over and done with, and allow those who specialise in generating funds to do their jobs effectively.

Haha, I always thought, given the similar logotypes, that they were a ripoff of JVC. :P
