Today was yet another sh*t day in the lives of all Carlton Supporters, the rumours flying around of just how bad our financial position is, and the likenesses to Fitzroy have gotten me, and im sure many of you very very upset and thinking whether it's just a matter of time before the greatest team in the history of this sport merge or move interstate...

I for one have had enough of all the cr*p the media shovel down our throats, we all know that the on-field fortunes of the club will turn around soon enough, so we, as supporters of this club have to sit tight and become more loyal than ever to allow the club that we all love to stay in business.

The upcoming Board Election is possibly the most pivotal point in this clubs' history...we HAVE to ensure that the correct guys are kept/put in power as the #1 priority of the club has to be its financial position...If the club can walk away from the elections unified (whoever gets voted in, the opposing party have to back them 100%) because in the end everything rides on the unity of the board...once that happens then the financial stability can come, then we can move forward from there and our on-field results can match as we'd be able to pay for better coaches etc (whether Pagan is the man for the job in our opinions or not is irrelevant)

so for the year ahead, forget your prejudices against Board Members/Challenging tickets...Forget prejudice campaigns against The Coaching staff and playing group...Things WILL pick up on-field...its a certainty...the only worry we have is our financial position.

I've paid up and put my money where my mouth is, but i cannot stress to anyone who visits this site who is not a member enough that they MUST sign up or else there's no chance our club can survive.

I'm only 18, but i've been as loyal supporter as anyone else since i was 3...i have only missed less than 5 Victorian games since i was 7 years old, and i've been a member since 1995. I know this club inside out, and my obsession for football (and more importantly this club itself) is so great that i live, breathe and spend every moment dreaming of the club returning to the nirvana it once was.

So for anyone who hasnt signed up as a member, DO SO...for anyone who goes to the footy and weekly bags the coach or blames all the problems on the playing group...STOP.....and anyone with the capability to donate to the club (i wish i had the money)..Consider it, because i for one am not going to let this club go under...it means far too much to me to watch the club i love struggle and fight within itself...

The Day will come when we win a premiership, whether its with this current group of youngsters careers or not...it'll come...And THEN we can sit back and rub it in the faces of each and every opposition supporter who's bagged us in the past 5 years and we can be hated again for being the best...not talked about because we're a laughing stock.

Hang in there guys and girls, and remember to Sign Up!

Cheers,

Nic (Teen Spirit)

Yeah, Good on you!

I pretty much donated money once, I fell into a huge amount of money in 2003 and bought all the Carlton supporters close to me a near on $400 membership. Unfortunately I can't show that kind of abandonment now cos I have too many expenses...I would if I could believe me!

Spot on Teen Spirit.

Me and 5 of my mates have purchased premium gold memberships this season.

Even people with young kids/babies.... you can get a baby blue membership for $27 ... no reason why we cant do that? I know thats a tiny amount but every bit helps

I'd love to do more (i personally have two memberships) and really wish i could. But at the moment i'm running my own business that i've started from scratch so i'm doing it tough at the moment!

I would like to buy a third (perhaps for my girlfriend) perhaps in April or something.

But, i was thinking of offering my services to the club.

I'm running a Video Production company, mainly doing Wedding Video's and Corporate Productions. I'm not sure if they would ever need such services, perhaps at B&F or other Functions, but if they did i would certainly do it for the love of the club.

Should i offer that to them?

Tell you what i could also do...............................

For every Carlton Member who i do a Wedding Video for i could donate $100 to the Club? How's that sound?

I also REALLY wanted to help get 'Carlton TV' off the ground but because of the whole TelstraBroadband crap with the AFL Web-Site and our major Sponser being Optus i'd dare say that there would be a bit of trouble with that one!

Ryan, have you spoken to mikkey?

He's putting together a list of people who are willing, and keen, to provide services to the Club in the professional field in which they work (or related fields).

Good plan, BTW.
